Don’t go in the restaurant door by accident! You’ll be hollered at from across the room so the whole place can turn and see you’ve entered in the restaurant not the lounge. I mean one could discreetly tell people but nah. Sorry it was dark and he didn’t notice the sign, Enter in the lounge so you can walk through into the restaurant area!!!!! No drink menu? Odd. Cesar salad was fresh with crispy lettuce, lotsa parm cheese with the option of fresh ground pepper. Chicken parm…chicken was bland but moist. Sauce was bland. Potatoes, there must be a shortage cuz my partner got 3 tiny potatoes cut in half? but I received a few more! They were yummy. Spaghetti was rated 6/10 from the teen who loves food. He said it needs more spice..My partner had raved we need to come here for years. I’m sorry but an Italian restaurant in Nanaimo kicks booty in the Italian dept. When the boy who loves food rated the food average…he was correct.

Everything was “fine”. Prices reflect Victoria quality, yet definitely delivered Boston Pizza, without the chain standards. Pasta came with a pool of water in the bowl. Bolognese was for sure missing the cream part and easily had a 1/2lb of meat vs 4oz pasta. Neither my or my dining partner’s pasta were equally portioned. Service in the restaurant was average although the greeting on the lounge was unfortunate. $112 for two pastas and wine wasn’t worth it. Wouldn’t return, sadly.

Stopped in for a quick drink. Great service even for how busy the place was! Tracy was amazing and Jud was super nice! Looking forward to coming back to eat! Gluten free food options too!

Went for dinner for the first time on Dec 23 (other time was take out pizza...which was the best around). Made reservations for 4 for 4:30...greeted and seated right away. Awesome waiter...great service!!Meal came quickly and presented very nicely.....prices very reasonable.Would definitely go back again for the great selection.Cheers

We take everyone that visits us to Giovanni’s and we also introduce islander ‘s to this little jewel. We moved here a few years ago and have been a little disappointed with the Island cuisine. Giovanni’s has great hours great service and is completely consistent with there great food !! A huge shout out to Tracy !! She goes way beyond the call of duty. She has made us feel completely welcome and at home. Thank you Tracy

We absolutely LOVE the pizza at Giovanni's! It can be a challenge to get your take out order as they book timeslots and fill up very quickly. We drive 45 min each way to eat here but it is always worth it. ?
