Dinner choice here after a day of hitting the trails. Dark wood and black interior with excellent AC. Also has outdoor dining options. Seated quickly and personably. Though unfortunately, due to the apparent dinner rush, server attention and food appearance was slower than one would expect. Lack of staff maybe? Can't speak to any of the craft beers or local wines on offer from this visit. After some exertion today we chose to eat light. DW chose the delicious sounding Cheap House Salad-mixed greens, cucumber, carrot, grape tomatoes, green onion, glazed pecans, and a Rocket Ranch dressing. Added proteins available but not chosen today. Salad looked amazing and all veggies were very fresh. The only drawback for her was the excessive amount of dressing. Better to order it on the side in our opinion. Unfortunately, even knowing the full menu description, I was disappointed in my lettuce wraps. I was wise to choose the spicy Szechuan sauce on the size after an informative discussion with our server. It was outside my comfort level most definitely. Wrap ingredients listed as crispy chicken, carrots, green onion, crunchy noodles, chopped peanuts, cilantro, and a sesame cucumber aioli. My vision for this was based on ordering it elsewhere and this version did not match. The chicken was more breading than meat, wasn't mixed with the included veggies, had much too much in dry crunchy noodles, and a pile of raw cilantro dumped on top. At least the lettuce was nice and fresh and the aioli was very tasty. Only ate a small portion of this. I left disappointed, possibly much my own fault. Would try again when in the area.

I fell at this restaurant in a darkly lit restaurant. I was told the by the manager/owner, "in the 7 years I have been here for 7 years, and no one has ever fallen". So much for his concern. He never once checked on me to find out that I was okay. Well, I bruised my knee which is painful. Their food was mediocre: salad was very tired and the stuffing in the redfish was awful.

Lefty's Parksville located in a busy strip mall next to a thrifty supermarket. This restaurant is quite busy. The decor is industrial style. The choices are one step over sport bar type of place. The staff is somewhat friendly and the service is quick. The host was great but the server was a bit rude. I guess they were hoping we were ordering lots to drink as they were disappointed when we ordered just water. The food, portions are pretty good. I ordered the Hipster sandwich which was pretty good. The fries also pretty good. Overall decent place

Great server, she was friendly and attentive. The pizza had about 4 tablespoons of cheese on it and maybe 7 pepperoni. For a pizza that has a fancy name and supposedly has a 4-cheese blend, this was very sad. Also, the cocktails had an undetectable amount of alcohol in them. They weren't expensive buy they were really more like soft drinks.

Poke bowl was awesome!!! They made me a fantastic Caesar too. My server was super nice.My only contribution is that they could have gone a bit more easy on the sauce!

I recently returned from my second trip to Vancouver Island and wanted to write a review on Lefty’s Restaurant in Qualicum Beach because it is the best restaurant by far that we encountered on both of our trips. Everything we tried from the menu was delicious, the wait staff are so friendly and accommodating and the restaurant is comfortable and clean. Whoever “Lefty” is, he has an amazing way with food, especially sauces, and has pulled together the most wonderful menu of food. Try to leave room for dessert as they have Coconut Cream Pie, Lemon Meringue Pie, Apple Crumble and . . . You will not be disappointed by this restaurant. I just wish there was a Lefty’s where I live!!

Friendly staff, good quality food. We’ve eatin here many times and never been disappointed… food is always fresh and presented well on the plate. We went again over the weekend and the young gal said 30 minute wait for food, but we only waited about 15, and exceeded our expectations as always. Highly recommend if your in town, keep up the good work?

Had a great lunch here on a recent visit. Had your gluten free pizza and would not have noticed the difference, very good. Partner had the salmon tacos, also very good. Understand its getting harder for restaurants to provide good service these days, but in this case the young lady was excellent. Would definitely go back again based on this experience.

Our first time eating here in a few years. Still that great atmosphere and even when busy I can have a conversation with my spouse without shouting. Service was a tad slow but we expect that everywhere these days with staff shortages. Our server was fantastic and never made us feel forgotten. My father-in-law had the salmon tacos, hubby had the salmon burger and I had the chicken burger. Everything was delicious and well worth the wait. Modest selection of beers on tap and a decent dessert menu. Banana Cream Pie was a nice finish.

Best quesadillas and garlic parmesan fries ever! Our waitress, Erin, was so friendly, kind and efficient...Another chap (didn't get his name) checked our vaccine and ID cards...he never stopped working either...cleaning tables, wiping down heat lamps, etc. Very impressed with the service and food. Will certainly come again...from Moira & Cyril (Victoria).??

Always excellent food. Eggs benny is so good.January 29, 2022I am amending my review down to ok.Went there again a month later and had an issue with my sister's pizza being burnt on top. When we asked for a new one the waitress returned to us stating the owner was in the kitchen today and this is how it is served and couldn't guarantee the 2nd one and suggested she order something different.We were offered a visit from the owner and we said yes to talk to him. He was quite short with us and said to ensure the middle is cooked it has to be that dark (hers was burnt, not brown) and couldn't guarantee that the new one would be cooked all the way through.We asked him to cook the 2nd one and guess what, it was perfect, not too brown and fully cooked.The owner didn't follow up with us and the experience left us a bit soured.

We're new in the area and this was our first visit. The food was excellent and Piper provided excellent service. We must return and enjoy a piece of the 4 or 5" high lemon meringue pie (looked delicious). Highly recommend you give the salmon burger a try !
