Very unhappy when the woman didn’t understand English properly over the phone and made a 5x order on Eggs Benny and then she refused to admit that she was in the wrong and told my partner to pay for them. I would have walked out and never come back again. If there’s a language barrier, at least admit that sometimes you could be in the wrong?

been coming here for years, old school cafe vibe. for us its a mid island meet up for a friday lunch, nice people making and serving good food in a cool place.

Best fries I've ever had.

We only had one meal for take-out and it was okay BUT as a art gallery, they had tons of paintings from many different local artists that you could buy which was awesome! Worth the stop.

We originally planned to eat here and got a table on the lovely patio. Then we decided to see if we could get our breakfast “to go” to allow more time mountain biking. Our server enthusiastically said yes. The food was delicious and she prepared a little bag with utensils, napkins, peanut butter, jam, etc, even little candies. Very sweet! :) Highly recommend

We recently had an outstanding dining experience at the Sandbar Restaurant and Art Gallery near Qualicum Beach, British Columbia.

Our family gathering of seven was exceptionally pleased with the amazing dinners we received. From the moment we arrived, the welcoming atmosphere and the artistic decor set the tone for a memorable evening.

Our waitress, Brook, was phenomenal. Her friendly and attentive service made us feel right at home. She was knowledgeable about the menu and provided excellent recommendations.

I had coconut mussels, as suggested by Brook, which were perfectly cooked and flavorful. For our other main courses, we enjoyed the oyster dinner and the oyster burger, both of which were cooked to perfection and beautifully presented.

The unique combination of dining and art added a special touch to our experience. We enjoyed browsing the local artwork displayed throughout the gallery, which created a charming and culturally enriching ambiance.

Overall, Sandbar Restaurant and Art Gallery exceeded our expectations with its delicious food, exceptional service from Brook, and a unique atmosphere. It's a must-visit spot near Qualicum Beach, and we highly recommend it!

We had such a great experience at the Sandbar Cafe. The waitress was fantastic, the food was fantastic and the view overlooking the beach and ocean was fantastic. We saw some kind of big mammal splashing around in the shallow end of the water and our waitress even brought us a pair of binoculars to continue to look for more!
Would totally come back here!

This is the freshest fish and chips we’ve had all over the island and including the entire GVRD. Service was great, atmosphere is really quaint, and the food is a 10/10.

This place is a little hidden gem. Great diner food and a cute little patio for eating outside in the summer.

Well hope it was an off night but waited forever for food. Happy we got there before the table of 10. & the next table beside us. But after they all got their food before us & 45 minutes we left.
