We visited the island for the long weekend and stopped by Thai Smile for dinner on our first evening. Food and service were excellent. We’ll definitely be back if we are in the area again.

4 of us went here for the first time last night and had a great experience. All of our meals were perfect portions and really tasty. The spring rolls were fantastic. Our server was polite, attentive and personable. The location is small so it was a bit loud but otherwise it was very clean and cute. The only negative I would say is the drink selection consisted of minimal beer, wine and pop choices. Would be great to at least have a highball option for those that don’t drink beer or wine. We will definitely be ordering from here again.

I had a red Thai curry that was more like soup than a curry and the chicken was rubbery and overall very sparse on vegetables. My partner had a very indifferent Pad Thai. I think that although the server was excellent, his good nature did not make up for very mediocre food. We came because of the reviews we had read but frankly would give this place a miss if there was an alternative Thai restaurant to try.

BEST Thai food around. The Pad Thai & Tom Kha soup were AMAZING. Preferred this Pad Thai over any others I've had across the island. They were only available for take out atm and it was still that good.
Best Thai hands down. Spring Rolls and Thai Fried Rice a must on every order. Our favorite curry is the red curry with (options for protien) chicken and bamboo shoots.

Smile Thai is always a guaranteed amazing Thai meal, never disappoints! Best phad see ew on the island. Awesome Tom yum and Tom kha! Great curries! I just wish they also had massaman curry. Setting is cute and quaint and service is fast and friendly. Honestly, smile is one of my favourite places to eat out on Vancouver Island!
