Edit: sorry you feel a one star review is unfair, but we were in there for at least five minutes (and we were not the only people looking around wondering what the heck was up) before abandoning, so perhaps you could consider putting a sign out if someone is grabbing something or taking a break and going to be more than a minute or two. You're lack of preparation and communication isn't really anyone else's problem but yours!

Absolutely love the SugarShack!. It's a super cute locally owned Ice Cream Shop that is a must visit / regular visit in Revelstoke. Aside form the staff being super friendly, the quality is top notch. I am GF and DF and their Gluten friendly Waffle Cones, combined with their Real Fruit/Dairy Free Coconut Ice cream is my fav. The Dairy Free ice cream is smooth, creamy and delicious. Highly recommend. And yes, it's often lined up out the door, but the line moves quick!

Friendly staff, working hard in the heat. Somehow it was warmer inside than outside in July. Unfortunately the ice cream was pretty bad, and their online menu is different than the in store menu. Felt like a money grab with little care for their staff. Watch out for tourist traps like sugar shack! Probably better off hitting up the dairy queen honestly.

Specifically reviewing the fresh fruit blended soft serve. It’s amazing. I tried blueberry one day and peach another day, both were fantastic. A bit pricey but I imagine leases are expensive on this street, which has a very fun, festive vibe on a summer evening. Seating inside is limited but there’s plenty of nearby outdoor benches to eat your ice cream and watch the world go by. They also have typical store bought ice cream flavours if that’s your thing.

I was expecting homemade ice cream. The flavours are amazing but the run of the mill ice cream you get at most convenient store locations. But the price is what you would pay at any of these stores, so that was great! The lemon sorbet was my favourite. The location is nice as we jist walked and ate our ice cream down the little strip. Its a quick pit stop while driving down highway 1. I would suggest the ice cream cookies as they are locally made and were worth the stop!
