Comfort Japanese food in a cozy Asian food court. It has a busy and cozy vibes. This store offers some variety among different options, mainly Asian food.

Decent sushi for a mall food court. Wish they had a few more combo options for rolls. Sometimes have to wait a bit after ordering

I ordered the Unagi Bento Box and a Chopped Scallop Roll. The Unagi Bento Box and miso soup was ready, but I had to wait for the Chopped Scallop Roll. My family ordered their food at 2 other food locations in the mall (3 noodle dishes, fried chicken wings and 2 milk teas) the same time I ordered my food. They received their food and started eating before I got my order. I waited 18 minutes for my food. There were 2 orders ahead of me. All I needed was the chopped scallop roll. I think they had one chef making the sushi. When I finally got my order, I was totally underwhelmed. I paid $6.50 for the chopped scallop roll and it was the smallest roll I have ever had! At least it was real chopped scallops! The gyozas were nothing special, the salad dressing wasn't great for the small amount of lettuce, the unagi was okay, a little dry, found a bone, normally I don't find bones when I order unagi at other restaurants. The california roll tasted okay and actually a decent size, wish the chopped scallop roll was the same size! I will never order from them again as it's not worth it. Too expensive for what I got and the service was horrible. There are better food options in this mall that are quicker and less costly.

Updated 2025.03.27. Ordered the Unagi Don and the Black Dragon Roll. The order was ready in about ten minutes. Both were tasty and satisfying for my palate. Credit cards accepted for transactions over five dollars.

Been here multiple times.
It is decent for the price and there is a huge selection of rolls / combos and hot food for a food court. Previously tried the chicken teriyaki don and it was alright , not the biggest portion but fairly cheap and good flavour.
(No AMEX like most of Richmond unfortunately)

Vegetarian options: Many vegetarian rolls , two different vegetarian meal combos.

A lot of places in the food court are cash only but Aji Hana was one of the few places that accepted credit cards (some other places accepted debit card or digital payment through specific mobile payment apps). They have a huge selection of japanese food to choose from. I ended up choosing the deep fried tofu bento box which was only about $15. It came with three tempura pieces, a California roll, 4 agedashi tofu, rice with teriyaki sauce, salad, and miso soup. Everything tasted pretty good. The tempura pieces were a lot better than the ones that I've had at other Japanese restaurants (the batter was nice and light). The person who took my order was very friendly and professional, which cannot be said about some of the other places in the food court. The wait time also wasn't too long which was nice.
Would definitely order from this place again in the future.

For food court sushi, I think they are amazing. In fact, I think the sushi I had from Aji Hana tastes better than a number of restaurant sushi I've ordered. Granted, it was just the number 1 combo with tofu, avocado and cucumber rolls, but the tofu and avocado were silky smooth. The rice was cooked to perfection - fluffy and delicious - how could rice be so good? My sushi also holds together and doesn't crumble with one bite like the other places. Highly recommend the #1 combo of you're a vegetarian!

Can't really go wrong with their donburis for the price. I always grab a quick bite here whenever I'm in Richmond.

A little bit hard to find a table in the food court if it's busy so plan ahead if you're a larger group.

Quite fast for serving. Food court standard so dont expect too much. Get the bento set for slightly more value.
