Best place to get dessert the guys that run it are so nice u can find them at the Richmond night market as well at different food truck festivals NEW THIS YEAR THERE AT THE THE FAIR AT THE PNE I highly recommend it

I don’t usually fall susceptible to free samples, but when I tried a little bit of that deep fried sweet soft bun I was ready to go feral. I of course ordered an entire bun (ferror rocher flavour), from their food truck at the shipyards night market. It was so good that I think I floated into heaven. Honestly, if I had the choice and was at peace with getting diabetes, i would eat these every day of the year. If you see this food truck you have to stop and try it!

Nice sweet buns

Been meaning to try this place for a while, as it was started by one of my old college friends. And even after knowing his skills and creativity when it comes to food, I was still amazed by how delicious this was.

Got the pistachio special for Greek Days on Broadway and boooy was it amazing. 11/10 would recommend

I visited Bao Buns at the Richmond Night Market in May 2025. They have the best deep fried buns in town! They are one of the most iconic booths at the Richmond Night Market! I had to prepare myself for a taste explosion with their crispy buns. Everybody needs to elevate their dessert game at Bao Buns! These buns are sure to bring a smile to everyone's face! These drool-worthy buns are crisp outside, soft inside, and loaded with goodness! It's such a crispy and fluffy delight! They have the most infectious energy! I love how they put on such a show! If you're looking for good food and fun vibes, make sure to hit up Bao Buns! This is where the fun is at! Their energy is insane! If you have not tried these, then you are missing out!

There was a girl who let the camera eat first and her icecream fell on the ground - The guys working said “I got you” and replaced the scoop. Great to see good business practice running behind the booth. The guys always have positive energy doing their thing… Even when the man across the way is trying to disrupt their flow of work yelling into his microphone. Entertaining to watch while waiting for the delicious baos

This was my second year and I had to get their buns! I always get the mango paradise and I get that double scoop of icecream. The guys are hilarious and have great singing voices. This booth at the night market has a special place in my heart forever and always ❤️
