Cash only? This place might as well not be on the map!
I was there yesterday to get some buns. 2 ladies behind the cash register were screaming toward each other in Mandarin! The anger between them quickly escalated and hands were in the air!
The whole place was filled with their SCREAMS and I quietly put the bagged bun back onto the shelf, returned the tray, and left the building. YIKES!
100% would recommend if you enjoy watching real-life drama unfold right in your face.
Very good bakery! I ordered a Smash Cake for my 1-year-old baby girl. It was beautifully made and not too sweet—just perfect. My baby loved it!
What a delightful bakery located in Richmond. It is located in a strip mall and has a large free parking lot. This bakery has served this neighborhood for 10 years. A very clean bakery and has incredible baked goods on display. The Boss Bakery Blundell Center is a desert destination.
Went to uno beef stopped to grab some pastries.
Great little Chinese baker located at the mall. Has all the usual traditional pastries and well as a few new style items, and cake slices. They also do whole cakes which need to be preordered. Staff very friendly and quick. But the are cash only, no credit or debit cards. Parking is right out front in the large mall.

I’ve never been so let down by a bakery, but The Boss Bakery is really something else. I highly suspect their products aren’t made fresh and they sell things past expiry date.
Everything I’ve had from here was bad. The sausage bun is dry and crusty. I’ve never had an egg tart that is HOLLOW. They fact that they are still open and even has more than one location astonishes me. The one at Richmond Centre is equally bad. Don’t waste your money, you can have 0% experience baking and still make a better egg tart than this.

This review is for the Richmond Centre location. We had Chocolate Coffee Mousse, Guava Raspberry Mousse, Passionfruit Blueberry Mousse, and Mango Strawberry Mousse. All of them had sauce inside that ruined the taste of the mousse (e.g. Guava mousse with raspberry sauce in the middle of the mousse). Also, the bottom crust was either soaked or very dry and salty which did not taste good. The crust was crumbly. Moreover, they put a dry, colored sugar coating to surround the mousse that was unnecessary and it was difficult to eat (the coating broke into pieces which created a mess). The color was confusing as well (e.g. they put a red coating for passionfruit mousse). The Fresh Mango Cake tasted okay, but the mango chunks inside the Mango Pudding were sour and the pudding could be more flavourful.
In terms of service, the two servers went to the side of the counter and chatted when we tried to order. When I looked at them, one of them asked me what do I want without coming to us. Did they expect us to shout over the counter with our order? That means they did not want to serve.
I told them that I wanted several slices of cakes. Then one of them came to us and got us the cake slices. After she put the cake slices into the box, she stared at them for awhile. Then she asked the other server to come over and they looked at the cake slices together. We did not know what happened. Then one of the servers took a different box and transferred all the cake slices into that box. The staff should be able to tell which box to use once they know the number and the size of cake slices. They should try to avoid exposing the cakes in the air as much for hygiene reasons.
Moreover, they did not put tape underneath the cardboard of the cake slices to stabilize them inside the box. Instead, the tape was on the plastic piece that was surrounded the mousse. It was unnecessary because it was difficult to remove the plastic piece with the tape.
The cream and fruits in the birthday cake are very fresh.

Accepts cash only which isn’t very convenient! Pricey. Pastries are mediocre.
