Go across to the other place. This was bland and I am white. Lol. I think all the veg sides were tossed in the same bland sauce. Big portion but not worth it. We got some from the other one and there was ginger and garlic etc and flavors in the food. What you expect it be eating. The pork was good. Everything else not great. We won't be back.

Dropped by here yesterday for a quick Chinese lunch. What you get for the price you pay is really worth it. We live in Surrey and we make a stop here everytime we're in Richmond. The flavor and the portion servings is topnotch!! Will be back again!!

**Updated on Dec 30th** Decided bring my parents for lunch on Christmas Day. It’s grateful to know Aberdeen Mall and Richmond Public Market open on Christmas.
We ordered 1 rice with 3 sides for $16. We had squid tentacles, cod and pork for side dishes. Staff provided us along with a white rice after our request. Food was gigantic. This fed three of us to be full. We saw 3 teenaged girls sharing their take out food together.
Also they don’t charge extra for boneless meats. Price is much cheaper than Kent’s Kitchen for sure. Many selections of sides to choose from. Nothing to complain about!

This rice box spot offers a great deal — $15 for three dishes plus your choice of rice. I went with deep-fried pork chops, sweet and sour spare ribs (糖醋排骨), and beef with bitter melon (涼瓜牛肉), paired with fried rice. The shop lady was very generous with the portions; the box was packed so full of protein and rice that it was practically bursting at the seams and almost leaked.
In terms of taste, everything was reasonable for the price. The deep-fried pork chops were crispy on the outside and tender inside, while the sweet and sour spare ribs carried a nice balance of tangy and savory flavors. The beef with bitter melon was a solid home-style dish — the beef was sliced thin and flavorful, while the bitter melon added a pleasant edge without being overpowering. The fried rice was simple but worked well as a base to soak up the flavors of the dishes.
For $15, the value is hard to beat given the portion size and variety. While the flavors weren’t mind-blowing, they were satisfying and comforting, very much in line with casual Cantonese takeout expectations. With so many dish combinations available, I’m already thinking of trying other options on my next visit.

We love ordering trays from here for almost 4 years now. our favorites are the squid, honey spare ribs, and fish fillet. They never disappoint! Portions are huge and prices are much more affordable compared to other Chinese restaurants.

i’m giving the soy sauce chicken 豉油雞 5 stars alone!! it’s tender and flavourful. haven’t had soy sauce chicken this good here. the broccoli is crispy and the green beans the same. portion is very generous as others have mentioned. i personally prefer this one to the one on the opposite side as the latter is stronger on the salt but you can decide for yourself. i can’t wait to try the deep fried squid!! 😋 this price for this quality is insane! ordering is as usual a bit chaotic though not for the indecisive ones haha (which is me)
