The chef of this steakhouse thinks George Floyd's death was funny. Enough said.

Went here on Saturday night. The food was horrible for the price we had to pay ($35 for my meal). I had the surf and turf and half the steak I received was just fat, this wasn't the good kind fat, it was the kind of fat that was hard and not edible. The scallops was dry and tasted like plastic. On top of that my girlfriend ordered a creme brulee that was burnt in the middle and cold on the sides. We felt like we could've gone to Denny's and get served a better meal.

We found this place at the last minute to celebrate Christmas. We wanted to have steak dinner, that's why we choose this place. But they had a special menu for Dec 24 and 25 only, which does NOT include any steak! Wrong move. If this is a steakhouse, you should always have steak on all of your menus. I honestly was disappointed by that. I had boneless beef ribs. The meat turned out to be tender, and I would say it's not bad, but it's also not memorable. The server was good. He was hospitable. I don't recommend this place at all.

The food was very good. Not sure if the waiter was new but, he struggled a bit. Restaurant is a bit dated, but comfortable. Enjoyable overall

I do NOT recommend this place at all. Terrible service and they do NOT know how to cook the steak. The MOST terrible place throughout my 1month stay in Canada

We went there for my son's birthday. We ordered the Calamari, which was excellent. We had the Filet Mignon Steak, which was also excellent, although the sides were extremely small amounts. They gave my son a dessert, on the house, for his birthday, which was awesome. The manager, at least I assume he was, was very attentive, not the waiter. There wasn't much else outstanding about the place, it definitely needs to be updated to give it a cozy atmosphere. I would definitely go back for the food, which is why I gave it five stars!

Medium rare was more like medium done (see first picture) then when we ask to make again it came rare... a steak house should know whats medium rare is. Not recommend

I agree, great service and management! As consistently noted in past reviews, the menu selection and presentation is just fabulous! Ultimately, this is a huge compliment to the head chef, Jennifer Tolentino, who is a true culinary artist in leading a team of cooks who clearly follow her high standards! Every detail is well thought of from taste, arrangement, and even colour on your plate! Her dessert options are also some of the best and definitely a coveted treat! On my last visit, we had the ravioli and tomahawk steak and wow - just perfection. Looking forward to going back and hopefully this note gets to Jennifer! You are a true talent!

I used a gift certificate to take my dad out and we both never been here and live in the area. When we walked in, one of the host / managers (all staff were male in suit except one busser in a vest) kept talking to a couple about menu options at the entrance and didn't acknowledge us once. We stood there for a few minutes until he finally did and gave us a table. I observed that all staff were often clumped in one area and guests would be waiting or trying to find help. The appetizers and prime rib were delicious, though I was told my meal would come with mashed potatoes and they served it with roast potatoes instead - as well, we were also told yorkshire pudding would come with the special (huge reason we chose the special) ended up being sold out and our server was not informed. He did comp us dessert however it was clearly store bought. Our server was a older gentleman with glasses who was lovely, seemed the most experienced and aided to other tables by giving them bread as food took a little longer. I'm glad we used a certificate because I would not have been happy paying full price and will likely not to return.
I had the prawns and scallops. The prawns were delicious but the scallops were beyond the beyond. Incredible!

If good food with very scant service and drinks made poorly is what you're looking for, Carver's is your place.

It was fathers day so we decided to spend a day in Richmond and have a nice dinner. I dined with Carver's on multiple occasions in the past and had great experiences.
