The décor of the place is quite nice, featuring a charming retro style that creates a cozy and nostalgic atmosphere. One of the highlights is their extensive and thoughtfully arranged display of whiskies from various countries, which is both impressive and inviting for whisky enthusiasts. I would highly recommend trying their whisky flight, as it offers a great opportunity to sample and compare different varieties. Unfortunately, when it comes to the food, it was rather average and didn’t leave much of an impression. The service was also just so-so — nothing particularly bad, but nothing outstanding either.

Super fun spot, kind of hard to find from the outside since there's no signs or anything, just trust maps and go through the door near where maps tells you to, go right and it's there. Great cocktails, really fun atmosphere and damned good whiskey selection. No Coal Ila or Red Breast 28 but no body has everything ♡

Eric and the rest of the service team took really good care of us. Came here with a group of 7 just to check out the bar after getting dinner and were blown away. They were extremely busy with only one bartender but were super honest about the time drinks would take. Very welcoming, incredible service, and delicious snacks. Can’t wait to book one of the private rooms for our next group event.

Do not go. Reane was our server and it was some of the worst service I have ever witnessed as a former server and regular diner. Between sitting and getting anything meaningful (like a drink) on our table it was an hour. 20 mins before a first visit, longer just to get water. Waiting 20-30 mins between server visits, even as plates and glasses piled up at the edges of tables and menus open looking for more drinks. Bills were wrong. Fries weren’t hot. Food orders called out like an auction when they arrived instead of being properly delivered like a fine dining experience. She honestly seemed inebriated, almost dropping items and making excuses for inefficiencies, and she didn’t know the menu “because it was new.” We would have ordered more had we had the chance, like dessert for our special occasion, or more drinks instead of the one flight, but it was excruciatingly slow and not busy when we started. 45 mins to get a bill. The areas where front of house service wasn’t part of it were good to great: atmosphere, taste of the dishes, and drinks selection. However the ice for a whiskey bar was unacceptably poor quality, stuff you’d get from an ice machine with holes through it. Paper straws for putting drops of water in if needed.

If I could have given negative stars for service I would have. The hostess was scrolling socials, but was polite when informed that the washroom was totally out of soap. How was that not checked? No way it ran out that night, the place was empty when we got there. The restaurant was also out of stock for every beer on their menu for our non-whiskey friends. Every. Single. Beer. They made a special trip to get some for our party (awesome, appreciated, still waited 2 hours to get) but that it was out for several days before this instead of just the one night is telling on how it was run as a whole.

Overall I’d never go back, and never refer someone else to go. It’s a great story because of how bizarrely bad the service was. The place has a lot of potential so I do hope they figure it out before they go under.

Riri was such an amazing server. I have taken my best friend of 20 years to celebrate her birthday at Cask for the very first time.
Food was fabulous, service was wonderful and atmosphere was great. We went on a Sunday, it wasn’t too busy. My friend and I sat a little longer than expected because we were having a wonderful time; we were not asked to leave, despite most places having a time limit to dine in.
We ordered Mentaiko Udon, my bestie is lactose intolerant. We were not asked if we had any allergies. Menu did not specify that it was creamed based. When we informed Riri, she apologized and did her absolute best to work around the situation, it allowed us to feel valued and aware that we were being well taken care of.
My only concern was there was no free parking.

My absolute favourite place to grab an old fashioned with friends on a weekend. If you’re heading here for the bar, Aftab will take great care of you, knows his drinks well and knows how to make customers feel welcomed ! Amazing service, food and drinks overall ?

Tried to reserve one of the private rooms a month in advance and on arrival found there had been a miscommunication and was seated in The Vault, which while gorgeous has a minimum spend of $2600 across the party and when we were expecting the $1600 minimum spend room.

I spoke to one host at the front desk before we finished being seated that it seemed like we were seated in the wrong room and was upfront that the additional 1k might be out of range of our planned expenses and asked if it was possible to price match the two rooms.

Finding out after being seated that they had run out of two of the most expensive entrees made reaching that minimum spend without buying absurd amounts of Liquor put it that teensie bit further out of reach.

The manager had put in efforts to accommodate us by having one of the Club Versante parties switch rooms so we could have the room she was under the impression we were wanting and I can understand the loss of face from having to ask premium members to swap rooms, and then asking them to swap back again.

However not all problems need a sledge hammer :(

We would have ended up moving out into the regular seating either way, and a "Unfortunately we cannot price match the two rooms" would have resolved it.

Would have preferred to have been talked to privately and not loud enough to guilt and embarrass me in front of the rest of the party with "I'm getting mixed messages from my staff and am unsure of the confusion considering we talked on the phone about this. I went out of my way to be nice and not charge a reservation deposit. I even asked the our *Club* members who were using this room to switch rooms to accomodate you and they were quite angry with me. The minimum spend for this room is $2400 and if you cannot uphold your side of the obligation you will have to move to the regular dining area"
Kind of spoiled it for the guest of honour and I felt humiliated.

For what its worth the little touches of two complimentary bowls of edamame beans and going to their sister restaurant next door to use their expresso machine since theirs wasn't working were appreciated. Thanks for doing your best to accomodate.

The decor and serving staff are lovely, kitchen closes at roughly 11:30pm so would recommend coming early for dinner. Great whiskey experience for connoisseurs as their drink menu is extensive. The tasting skewers we got to try were yummy, and I bet the rest of the food is too.

I’ve been to a lot of whisky bars, but this is the single hardest time I’ve ever had trying to get a receipt. What a terrible experience. Waited 25 minutes for them to push two tables together. At the end of the night the machine wasn’t working and the really rude manager told me to talk to the hostess who then told me to wait at the bar to talk to her manager (who sent me to her in the first place). After 10 minutes of this nonsense someone took my bill and gave me a receipt.

Wow.

Beautiful location and whisky collection, absolutely horrendous service, there was a young lady with glasses and a gentleman with a shaved head that absolutely ruined our experience. Will never come back. Avoid at all costs

Emily was absolutely attentive and made this personal tasting experience a fun event. The best part about visiting this bar was the customer attention and knowledge of their whiskey.
I would highly recommend this place to visit, and if you’re lucky, Emily will take care of you. She made this one of my best experiences in tasting and most memorable.
