A group of us 4 went to this restaurant around 2 pm. I ordered their Prawn & Scallop Linguini. This dish was delicious. Even their garlic bread was exceptionally good! The only small complaint is that they could have added a bit more olive oil to my pasta. A friend ordered a Warm Seafood Medley Salad, with raspberry vinegrette. Her dish was beautifully plated! We were all in awe! The rest of us, simply had non alcoholic drinks. Our server was wonderful. All the seafood was super fresh. The restaurant was warm and we sat by the window, with a view of fishermen boats. This restaurant does not disappoint!

Burrowing owl was reasonably priced. I found salmon fry and prawns overcooked. The steak was extremely thin and the creme brûlée didn't have the velvety texture that once would expect. The best part of the food was the very tiny serving of tuna tataki. Would def go back tho another time.. not for dine out

Great view over the harbour in Steveston. Solid casual dining fare. Good value, great service.

Overall the dining experience was okay. Our entrees came out while I was still having my appetizer. My steak was not cooked to medium but medium rare. The steak needed some flavour, like a steak spice. Need to allow your customers time to finish their appetizer before rushing to bring out the entrees.

Ordered the prime rib special for $44, and it was very good! Great value for the price, and very large portions. Although I don't know the name of our server, he was very attentive and professional in terms of checking in and ensuring everything was timed properly. His service was excellent and he made the overall experience very nice!

My companion and I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our dining experience—it was a wonderful day. I would highly recommend Catch to anyone.

I recently visited The Catch in Steveston and unfortunately my experience fell a bit short of expectations. The service was fine—neither particularly warm nor inattentive—but the food itself had several issues that made the visit underwhelming.

We started with the mussels and clams appetizer. The broth was genuinely tasty and well-seasoned, but several of the mussels and clams were sandy, which really took away from the enjoyment of the dish.

For mains, I ordered the fish and chips while my friend had the Korean BBQ bowl. My fish and chips were just average. The fish, batter, and fries all could’ve used more seasoning to bring out their flavour. On the positive side, the tartar sauce was excellent and stood out as one of the highlights of the meal.

The Korean BBQ bowl, however, was more disappointing. It was extremely salty—overpowered by soy sauce with no real BBQ flavour coming through. The rice was also slightly undercooked, which added to the overall imbalance of the dish.

Overall, while The Catch has potential, especially with some of the flavours in the appetizer broth and that great tartar sauce, the inconsistency in execution made the meal less enjoyable. I hope these are issues that can be improved, as the location and concept are strong.

food was alright but nothing special, service was terrible we were basically ignored the whole time while our server was paying lots of attention to the tables next to us. i ended up wishing we just went to whitespot instead for the same quality food and service. your basically paying for the view. Our server had a buzz cut and i believe was the manager. this happened a few months ago.
