The staff was amazing and accomadating. We were the last seating for Christmas Day Buffet but felt like we were the 1st. I would definetly go back.

Was asked to pay shortly after 60 minutes while we were still enjoying our meal. Food was not replensihed inna timely manner. Soup station was not hot. I was also not aware of the fixed gratuity even though only 5 people attended.

Enjoyable experience at the christmas buffet. The prime rib and ham were good. The turkey seemed to be more of a turkey roll than a fresh turkey. The seafood shrimp and candied salmon were good. The Mussels and clams needed a bit more flavoring. Cooked veggies and salads were good. Dessert could have had more selection. It was not replenish so ran out of fruit. Would have been nice to have an assortment of pies and cakes. Mostly cakes for dessert with heavy icing. The service was very good. Nice atmosphere. The parking was a bit challenging for the elderly as we could not find the public elevator as we could not access the hotel one being that we were not guests.

The reservation is messy . My original booking is made over a month ago, but it is found missing my booking. The food selection was limited and did not justify the price. The buffet time felt rushed with only a 1.5-hour limit. While the service was good, the overall ambiance was average.

Opentable Diner

Overall, MY experience was ok but as for my partner... not so much. The buffet was beautiful as always. Plenty of choices and all were delicious. However there was a couple of things that detracted from our dinner. First, halfway through my partner's slice of prime rib she found a very long black hair wrapped around her slice of beef. The employee at the carvery station had black hair but it was short and he WAS wearing a hair covering. My partner... she has very RED hair and I have very short gray hair. We brought it to the attention of our waitress who informed the manager. The manager came immediately to the table, inspected her plate and apologised, promising to bring us a couple of specialty drinks to help make up for it. Those drinks never arrived. It should also be noted that when my partner went back to the carvery station to get a replacement slice of prime rib, they had run out and had replaced it with a lesser cut of beef. I had no problem with MY food with the exception that there was very little stuffing to go with the turkey, and I LOVE stuffing so that was a little disappointing. As for the service, our waitress never once bothered to fill my water glass unless called over and it was specifically requested. (she was at our table numerous times with my empty water glass in plain view on her side of the table, also walked past numerous times as well, but never noticed and as stated, did not refill my glass unless specifically asked her to. (this is not what I am used to when dining in ANY restaurant). At the end of our evening the waitress brought our bill telling us that they did give us a 15% discount to make up for the hair in the beef. We did still enjoy our evening, but it was slightly flawed by the errors discussed above.l

We went there for lunch around 12:30PM on Saturday and it as quite (total of 4 tables by the time we ordered food). There was only one waitress upfront and she was also the bartender. She made it work. My dad and I had the Cavu burger and fish and chips. The food came out pretty good and I would say the overall value was reasonable as there is free parking (register your license plate at the front desk). I would come again. Its a nice quiet place to have a meaningful conversation.

Menu is very diverse from steak to nachos and pizza. Service was great. Very attentive without being intrusive.

I tried their smash burger, the patty was super salty. This is such a basic dish, even someone just trying to make something tasty wouldn't mess it up. I believe they simply don't care. The lettuce in the Caesar had wilted brown spots and wasn't fresh. Unacceptable.

I once came for a Christmas Eve buffet. It was great, overpriced and the parking conditions were nasty. The elevators broke down and the stairs were extremely slippery

Service was poor, staff didn't know the offers. Food was just okay, burger was very average but the fries was good.

Came to this place about 15 years ago and nothing has changed. Food is just okay.

We are at the beginning of a cruise vacation. Spending two days in Richmond/Vancouver, BC before setting sail on the NCL Jade bound for Alaska and the Pacific Coast (BC, Washington, Oregon, and California). We tried CAVU Kitchen and Bar for HH and dinner. The restaurant had a 50% off wine bottle special for HH. We went for it and combined it with dinner. Our server Shanu was on my point. She was handling the bar and tables by herself. She was attentive and provided excellent service. We had the Nachs for an appetizer. Hand cut chips, house made salsa, cheese mix, house spice, avocado, tomatoes, and jalapenos, so fulfilling! Next up were the Grilled Miso Salmon and the Big Salad featuring Tofu. Both were excellently prepare with the Salmon being flaky and moist. The Salmon was presented with edamame, "forbidden" rice, carrot and miso puree, pickle and crispy ginger, and water crisp. The Salmon had a perfect char. The Big Salad included cucumbers, heirloom tomatoes, avocado, red onions, hard boiled egg, olives, romaine lettuce, cranberries, feta cheese, and herb ranch dressing. We washed it all down with a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc at half price a HH special and a glass of old fashioned featuring Jim Beam. Amazingly another patron picked up the tab on the wine bottle, bless him! We must pass that forward. I didn't know what to expect from this hotel spot but was pleasantly surprised with the quality and presentation. We give them 4.5 for the food, the execution, and presentation. The wife went for the Toffee Pudding dessert which I understand was great.
