Girl staff looks miserable
The drinks are good. The service, not so much. There are plenty of similar shops nearby with smiles and better service.
Ordered 2 teas, dahong pao lemon tea with no sugar and a milky one. The milky one made us sick. The lemon tea was pretty good though.
Rude customer service. Was told to use the machine to place an order yet they still had the audacity to ask for tips.
This manager (or maybe the owner) will literally scold staff in Mandarin right in front of customers—even while the staff is taking an order. Honestly, that’s terrifying and extremely unprofessional.
FYI: Around 70% of this store’s customers can understand Mandarin because this is RMD. So when the manager/owner acts like that, it’s not just unprofessional—it’s straight-up awkward and disturbing for everyone to witness.
Phenomenal
We got a Black Tea Frappe and a Osmanthus & Lychee Lemon Tea 💯
🥤 CHAYAN Richmond 🌟🌟🌟🌟
👉🏻 This place specializes in tea-based drinks, and you can really taste the difference—their milk tea is fresh, light, and never too heavy. It’s the perfect balance of tea fragrance and creamy texture. 🍵✨
💁🏼 The staff are efficient, making the ordering process smooth and pleasant. Service was quick, and everything was prepared with care. 😊
🍽️ The environment is clean and welcoming, great for grabbing a drink with friends or just relaxing on your own. Plenty of seating and a comfortable vibe. 🌿
Somehow this has become my favourite BBT place in Richmond. I’m just a big fan of their tea flavour, which has the perfect strength in flavour for me. I love the salty pistachio topping so much!
My favourite is their Osmanthus Tieguanyin Cream Cloud, but unfortunately they’ve been out of the cream cloud for a while now, with no updates or indication on when it will be back. I’ve also tried their Black Tea Frappe, Da Hong Pao frappe, and Osmanthus Lychee Milk Tea - all were very good imo!
Also, their Matcha Frappe is more like a matcha jasmine green tea frappe. It’s not bad, but I highly prefer their other tea drinks. I feel like they should rename this to make it less misleading, as I’ve seen other reviews complain as well!
Strong tea flavors
Not enough toppings
No tapioca
Tastes similar to chagee

Great tea
Love this bubble tea shop
Not the regular bubble tea, no toppings, just tea drink. If you are really into tea, this is a good place for you.
Came in after walking around the plaza and looking for a beverage to quench our thirst. Stumbled upon Chayan. Seemed like a majority of their drinks were 'foam' inspired. We ordered a matcha coconut milk tea - it was a bit underwhelming as there wasn't a strong flavour of coconut nor did we taste much of matcha. They also didn't have real straws, but had plastic stir sticks as straws which we found very weird.
Great drinks, but the cashier was extremely rude. If you don’t want to work in customer service, then don’t. Customers don’t deserve to be treated with such a bad attitude.
