As a long-time customer, I can say the food here has definitely improved over the years — great portions and noticeably better quality. While the service hasn’t seen much improvement, the food alone makes it worth coming back. I’d still strongly recommend this place, just don’t come expecting top-notch service.

We always enjoy coming here. It is a very clean and atmospheric branch of Chef Hung. There is a great range on the menu, we've always loved everything we have here whether its soup dumplings, fried tofu, the noodle soups and more. The staff are very friendly, always looked after us so well.

The absolute best Taiwanese beef noodles you can find in Vancouver, I have been to many other places and not one place comes close to Chef Hung. I’ve been eating here since 2014, one of my favourite restaurants.

The beef noodle is good. The dessert is great, better than I expected. Have a free drink if order an noodle or rice. The drink is toasty.

We’ve been to this restaurant for 20 years when craving for beef noodles. Went for lunch today. Noodle soups taste great as usual, for a solid five star. The one star review is given to the waiter Nick, who was unapproachable and unprofessional when serving customers. He embarrassed us by raising his voice in a quiet surroundings, and walked away from our table in the middle of the conversation. Sorry Nick, no tips but a Google review.

Decent food and service. Beef noodle tasted like they put a lot of different spices into it, creating a broth with depth and richness. Not the best Taiwanese beef noodle I've had, but it'll do. Also has an amazing view at night.

Ordered take out on March 2.
Was charged 50c “container fee.”
When I told her I am ordering take out and not dining in she won’t make any effort and keep referring me to the sign and saying it is a new Richmond bylaw since 2022.
I understand you are charged a container fee if you dine in and decide to take the leftovers to go but when you order take out from the get go that fee should not be added.
She kept repeating it was Richmond policy.
When I mimicked same order from Skip and showed it to her, they do not charge a container fee so what gives?
When I ask to speak to a manager I was told there is none and manager will only be on duty tomorrow.
I guess you’re better off ordering pick up from Skip so you do not have to pay the container fee and the restaurant will earn less considering they have to give some commission to Skip.
Try to support Canadian business they say. Well I tried but obviously that didn’t work.
Please educate your employees and stop acting like robots!
Customer service is deplorable!

This used to be THE PLACE for beef noodle in Richmond. Over time the quality and portions have declined, the restaurant decor is dusty and falling apart, and this once great restaurant is a shadow of its former self.

Lastly, I was just turned away from an empty restaurant because I had a coffee in my hand I wasn’t finished yet.

All in all, avoid this place.

this used to be my go to place for beef noodle and all other side dishes. but recent visit has been disappointing. quality and quantity both are not as it used to be, quite significantly changed i would say. service somehow needs more training, i am sure they did not intend to but indeed felt some rudeness. hope some improvements my next visit.

Worst beef noodle I ever had. I'm a Taiwanese and know what beef noodle should taste like. Don't waste your time and money here🫠🫠🫠
