If you're looking for hidden gems of Shanghai cuisine, this is a must-visit spot. Don’t let the exterior, located next to a car repair shop, fool you. Inside, the restaurant is beautifully decorated and the service is incredibly friendly. The food is outstanding, offering authentic Jiangzhe-style dishes that you won’t want to miss. We've already been there twice in one week! Highly recommend it!

Went here today because they don't open until 12 noon. There was no one. The two of us ordered a portion of smoked fish for 35 yuan. We used a small plate as big as a palm. The black membrane inside the fish was still there. The taste was average and there were a lot of fish leftovers. Then I ordered Fried Rice Cake with Pickled Vegetables and Shredded Pork. I was so sour after taking one bite. When I looked carefully, the bamboo shoots inside were from cans. They were so sour that I couldn’t bear to throw them away. They were put into the stir-fried rice cakes for us. There are also pan-fried buns, which are obviously pre-made food. I can’t praise them very much. There was a little bit less rice cake, and neither of us had much appetite, so we finished it all. I will never come again

Really good restaurant that my friend introduced to me. First time to come here, individual room, the quality of dish is high end, fresh seafood, some Shanghai cuisine, Guandong Cuisine, waitresses are professional, always check and change our plates. Inside environment is clean and elegant, suitable for friends, family or company gathering here. I will recommend this restaurant to my clients or friends, worthy to try.

Parking: Parking lot is not enough, since there are maintenance auto parked there which is occupied the parking lot.

Honestly, so over priced for what it is. It’s marketed as an upscale, exclusive spot however I did not feel that at all. For $80pp I expected better.

Their appetizers were actually pretty good and tasty however their main entrees were so bad, especially the fish! The xiao long bao was not that good, food court xlbs are way better which is a shame

Service was slightly better than a normal Asian restaurant but wouldn’t say it’s exceptional or anything luxurious. I also expected the interior to be nicer and seated more comfortably.

Not very English friendly, if you don’t speak Chinese, good luck

I will not come again after trying it. The service and dishes are average, the portions are small and the price is high ($100 per person). There is a private room for 10 people, but the drunken chicken, camphor tea duck, and Wagyu slices are for 4 people..... In the end, one piece per person is only a disc. For a better and more authentic selection of Shanghainese and Cantonese cuisine, don’t choose this place.

Despite having made an appointment, we were left waiting in the rain for five minutes due to staff mishaps. Upon finally being seated, our table was still unprepared, adding to the frustration. The dining area is a reminiscent of a bustling market with constant foot traffic passing by.While the food was decent, it was far from remarkable, failing to compensate for the lackluster service and ambiance. Overall, our experience was marred by poor organization and discomfort, making it difficult to enjoy our meal fully. We hope the management addresses these issues to provide a more pleasant dining experience for future patrons.

We went to the restaurant according to our reservation, but the boss told us that he had forgotten our reservation, and the king crab we were supposed to order was completely missing. A table was temporarily opened for us. They try to serve well but the waiters are completely untrained and every word is just right to make people angry, especially the boss. The boss came up and said directly, "We haven't ordered king crab. If you want to eat it, you can eat it. If you don't want to eat it, you can leave." Please, you're in a remote place, where can we eat at seven o'clock in the evening? absurd. Eating at a table in the lobby feels like being visited in a corridor with people coming and going, which is a very poor experience. Because of the reservation, the boss initially said he would give us a free bill, but in the end he didn't even get a discount and paid the original price. When the boss paid the bill, he disappeared. The food is passable and authentic, but not amazing.

First visit to private kitchen in Richmond
There’s no menu and each dish come by surprise
We ordered based on 17 people each at @$75 per person and all the dishes to be decided by the chef
They served us about 20 different dishes and most of them are quite salty
The most disappointing part is the portion is so small some of the dishes we don’t have enough for everyone
We have 17 people and they give us 16 dumplings , 13 pieces of angus beef ….
For the rest most of them is only 1 piece per person
It’s not filling at all
Quality of dumpling and XLB honestly is much worse than what we can get at local food court
The steam egg is silk smooth but too salty
Fish and pork knuckle are very really tasty
They have big round table for 17 people and karaoke and mahjong table which is good for party gathering
Server is super attentive and professional
Plenty of parking outside the building
