The last few times I've gone I noticed my drink being significantly worse than before.

I checked with the staff and they confirmed that recently they changed the formula for the mousse topping.

Their special mousse topping that they had originally was what made CHICHA stand out. Without it, it just feels like an overpriced cup of tea. There are better shops for freshly-brewed teas or for bubble teas depending on what you're craving. Without their old mousse formula which paired perfectly with the tea, CHICHA doesn't feel worth visiting anymore.

Had a great experience at this bubble tea shop! Tried the Tao Queen and absolutely loved it — the tea flavor was rich and perfectly balanced, and you can really taste the care in the tea brewing. Plus, the wait wasn’t long at all. Definitely a must-try!

does not worth the price- compare to metro location it gives less items in same order

to owner: I ordered the taro king. So little items in the drink which cost almost $10. It feels like 1/3 what was given compare to
Metro location. you are unsure you can check it.
Your reply comes across as quite standard — it doesn’t feel very sincere.

On google maps said it closes at 10 pm and when arrived at 9:50 but they already rejected us. Inaccurate google maps timing and terrible customer service.

Tried CHICHA San Chen for the first time and was honestly surprised in a good way!
Their biggest highlight is that the tea is freshly brewed you can really smell the fragrance right away, and the first sip feels so clean and pure. Not overly sweet or heavy, very different from most bubble tea shops.

I ordered the fresh milk tea with pearls, and the balance between the milk and the tea was spot on. The tea is still the star of the drink, with a rich aroma coming through. The pearls were chewy and bouncy, not too hard or soft, with just the right sweetness to complement the tea.

The store itself is bright and clean, and while waiting for my drink I actually felt pretty relaxed. The staff were friendly too they gave suggestions without making me feel pressured.

The price is a little higher than regular bubble tea, but you can definitely taste the difference in quality and ingredients. Overall, if you’re someone who really enjoys the natural fragrance of tea, this place is absolutely worth checking out!

I ordered Honey Osmanthus Oolong Tea, and it tasted good!

I gave the green tea bubble milk tea and the oolong milk tea a try, but honestly, both were a bit disappointing. The tea flavor didn’t really come through strongly, and overall the taste was pretty ordinary—nothing that stood out or made me want to have it again. I don’t think I would go back for a repeat order.

It is a nice place, the drink is packaged nicely enticing. The green tea has a very nice aroma we will give that a try next time. Also the boba was really well made soft and chewy.

Total rip off. Mango tea cost $9 with no real mango in it. You kidding me?

Saw little bugs flying around. It is really concerning

A beautifully designed space — bright, modern, and spotless — with just the right amount of warmth in the atmosphere. From the moment I stepped in, there was the inviting aroma of freshly brewed tea, and the soft lighting made it feel calm yet lively.

I ordered the Dong Ding + Fresh Milk with taro balls, light sweetness, no ice. The tea had a rich, layered fragrance that carried through every sip, smooth and naturally sweet without feeling heavy. The taro balls were cooked perfectly — soft, chewy, and with that subtle earthy flavor that blends seamlessly with the milk tea. The balance between the tea and milk was spot on, letting the natural notes of the oolong shine.

The preparation area was organized and immaculate, with tea leaves and brewing equipment neatly displayed — a small detail, but it says a lot about how much care goes into the drinks. The staff moved with precision and ease, handling orders efficiently while still greeting customers with genuine smiles.

It’s the kind of place where you notice the details: the clean tables, the thoughtful design, the careful sealing of each cup. Everything about the experience felt intentional and well executed.

First time trying this popular bubble tea place and luckily we went when it wasn't too busy. They have samples of their tea leaves so you can smell the aroma of them and choose from there. Drinks take a longer time to prepare so just keep that in mind.

We decided on getting the Green tea w/cream & tapioca ($8.00), quite expensive for the size you get. The tea wasn't bitter but it wasn't as strong as we would have liked it to be. The drink itself wasn't amazing like others have said. Our tapioca was really soft too, not the chewy texture we were expecting. Given the price point, this place didn't leave us wanting to go back especially since there are so many bubble tea spots in Richmond.

My new favourite bubbletea place!!! I got the taro queen drink and it was amazing. The drinks don’t taste artificial at all and the taro balls are really unique. Their peach tea and fruit tea are also really good. The only downside is that the drinks are expensive, with tax & tip it comes down to $10 for a regular sized drink. Also there is limited seating in the store. However I highly recommend giving this bubbletea place a try if you’re in the area!!

The tea has a strong flavor and the price is a bit high based on the quantity. I wonder why there are so many bubbles?
It feels like the store clerk is too busy and has no time to greet customers.
