The food was good. The service was unaccounted for. There was no host at the front dest. The chairs were dirty, and the high chair was oily. Ordered hot water but it was cold. They hadn't cleaned the plate out before the steak was served up. Very disappointing to celebrate our anniversary here.

Excellent service by Cody and the hostess (don’t remember her name). Steak was perfection. Great way to spend the evening before flying out in the morning.

Food was delicious expect for the 2 other stakes we had they were not medium rare more like well done. And had to wait and hour for our order.
I recently had the opportunity to dine at Chop Steakhouse for my birthday, and although the meal did not quite live up to our expectations, we remained optimistic. The meal commenced with their steamed mussels in white wine creamy sauce, which unfortunately lacked flavor, but we looked forward to the next dish. The portion of mushroom risotto was modest, and although it was undercooked, we appreciated the effort. The French onion soup also lacked flavor, but we remained hopeful. The chili garlic shrimp, which had previously been a favorite dish, was disappointing due to insufficient butter, but we chose to focus on the positive. The baked stuffed escargots with mushroom were overly salty and contained an excessive amount of soft bread crumbs, differing from its previously crispy texture and more generous butter content, but we acknowledged the attempt. The steak and truffle fries were also subpar, with the steak being chewier and containing more sea salt than desired, but we remained grateful for the experience. However, the yuzu sparkling lemonade was a redeeming aspect of the meal, and my husband enjoyed his customary 9 oz of '19 Crimes' red wine.
As a complimentary gesture for my birthday, we received a chocolate mousse with a generous helping of whipped cream and a birthday card signed by the Chop Steakhouse team, which was a lovely touch.
Throughout the meal, our server repeatedly inquired about our main course selection at five-minute intervals, following the serving of the steamed mussels and mushroom risotto, displaying a desire to please. The ambient music was excessively loud, rendering conversation difficult and making it challenging to hear our server's remarks, but we chose to focus on the positive.
My hubby said, 'The lady who sat behind us was extremely noisy, louder than the music, and the man who sat behind my husband smelled strongly of Chinese medicine oil,
which gave my husband a headache.'
Notably, we were not greeted or wished a happy birthday by the staff during our meal,
but we remained understanding.
Ultimately, we were disappointed with the decline in food quality and service standards, which fell short of our expectations, but we left with a sense of hope for future improvements.

The food was excellent, when we finally got it. The prime rib was cooked perfectly and I loved the variety of roasted veggies. The service was the worst I had ever experienced at CHOP. It took us close to 2 hours to get our meals!! The server also made a few errors early in the evening. First he brought me the wrong drink and then forgot to order my appetizer. In the end, my appetizer and a round of desserts for the table of 6 were all complimentary. I know this wasn't the usual level of service at CHOP but it did put a damper on our birthday celebrations.

Unfortunately, the prime rib came out overcooked, lukewarm, and somehow still proud of itself. Sent it back and got… a slightly warmer disappointment. Tasted fine, I guess, if “fine” is the highest compliment you give cafeteria food.
They seemed to be rationing vegetables, ran out of meat for their sliders (at a steakhouse, mind you), offered no salad forks (psstt.. There is none in the entire place??)... And, even managed to forget tartar sauce for the shrimp. Bold choices.
Service was slow, food was boring, and I was overcharged. The bartender was my saving grace who is ahhhmazing. Stick to the lounge, skip the restaurant.

Oh my, Muni, our server, was fabulous! And her recommendations were spot on.
Do yourself a favor and order the chop burger! It's the best burger I've ever had. And the wedge salad was delicious! The portions are large , be warned:) I can't say enough good things. Well be back!

Bad experience at Chop Steakhouse in Richmond. We reserved a private room and confirmed it twice over the phone, but they gave it away to walk-in guests. The manager told us we could move later, then changed the story and said we couldn’t.
When we reminded them that we’d checked with our server before ordering, they acted like we hadn’t. Basically accused us of lying. Completely unprofessional and not what you’d expect from a place like this.

We celebrated my husband’s birthday at Chop Steakhouse in Richmond, and the whole experience was truly amazing and unforgettable. The staff were incredibly helpful, and both the food and the ambiance were exceptional. Our host, Daniel, went above and beyond to make sure we had the best time. We’ll definitely be recommending this restaurant to our family and friends!

Love their Prime ribs. Much better than the Keg. Their smoked rib eye is also good but didn’t order this time. Chili garlic shrimp appetizer is also tasty. The only flaw this time was that we had to wait for more than 30 minutes for the entrees as there was a big group of order in front of us.

Everything was good except we had to wait for more than 30 minutes for the entrees to come, as we were then told that there was a big group of orders in front of us. We were starving when we arrived the restaurant. I think it would be better service if they could offer some free snack / appetizer during the long wait instead of just apologizing.
