I saw a lot of people buying fried pork cutlet rice. When I tried it, I opened it and smelled urine for a while. When I put it in my mouth, it tasted bitter? Is it possible that so many people can’t eat it?

Food court style Taiwanese takeout. Food was quite good, but had to wait 35minutes for my order. People ordering after me got their food, ate, and left before I received mine. Told it’s coming , I’m next , over and over. Line ups to order was also long. Been here before and usually ended up waiting and waiting.
Parking: Parking in the lot was very difficult, lots of parking available but even more cars waiting. Parkade is available but very tight turns.

The store has finished the Spring Festival holiday, so maybe the work attitude is still on holiday. Some of the chicken in Salt Crispy Chicken is plum. The salted crispy chicken powder is a bit bitter. Those four side dishes are too sweet. There is so much competition in the Empire Center now If this continues, I believe I can’t beat the two newcomers. I believe I won’t be able to help you for the time being.

I was hesitant to give them a review because I do not want to reveal this hidden gem, but hell, only a raving review would do them justice so here I am.
I have only ordered their fried chicken plates (both the karaage and the cutlet style) though I have been there several times already. It's simply because these two things are THAT good and it would be a crime to not order them. The chickens are always pipping hot and well seasoned. The portion is very generous but you would not feel like a walrus after finishing the whole thing. That's the sign of good food made with care.
Also, I do not remember once that I was disappointed with the side dishes or rice that come with the chicken plates. The side dishes were always freshly made without a trace of staleness. There are countless cases that restaurants would do their main/entree well but absolutely butchered their side dishes or just give out shitty rice. That's certainly not the case with this place.
The line could get a bit long since the chickens were always freshly fried and I think it's a one man team in the kitchen. Usually I will get mine within 10-15 minutes. With all that said, just go. Do not hesitate. You will not be disappointed!
Mainly a take out place, but the price can't be beat. It's basically a 2 meals worth of food for 13.99. Always stop by when I visit Richmond. Popcorn chicken Bento box is the best (but others are good too) really like their sides as well.
