The interior was very beautiful! They don't have a lot of seats, but the tables are spacious and you won't feel cramped.
The food is average, and the food selection is limited. For the price, I expected higher quality fish and a larger menu.
The fried rice had no wok hay so save your calories
I did like the foie gras, but it's a little hard to screw up foie gras.
Do try the akami! It's a nice lean cut of tuna. But for the price point I do expect toro to be served.
The bathroom was NOT CLEAN and was really gross. I visited once at the start and again after an hour. The washroom just got dirtier and I could see stains and dust.

We had a fantastic time at Daimanya to celebrate my brother’s birthday! The service team made sure it was special, and we got to satisfy all of our cravings. There was even a discount that they offered for his birthday!
The food options varied a lot, ranging from sashimi to wagyu sukiyaki to lobster and foie gras. We tried almost everything on the menu, and it was all delicious! Just after the first round, we were already getting stuffed but we powered through and ordered a second round of food options from the menu.
Though the restaurant is not that big, the ambience was designed very well! Make sure to reserve in advance because parking and tables are limited. For an AYCE option, the price and service are definitely worth it!

Recommended dishes: Sashimi Platter, A5 Miyazaki Wagyu Sukiyaki, Deep Fried Lobster, Aburi Salmon and Scallop, Sake Garlic Butter Clam and Lamb Rack with Yogurt, Tuna Tataki Beef Tataki
Would recommend coming here for their all you can eat sushi and sashimi. The sashimi was clean, fresh and not fishy and the hand cones tasted great with enough stuffing to rice ratio. The Aburi salmon nigiri was delicious and it’s amazing to be able to have ayce Aburi sushi. The oyster and scallop motoyaki were solid. The foie gras toast, butter corn, and lobster were also a highlight as they tasted very good. The A5 Waygu was delicious and melted in your mouth. However it’s a bit of a hit and miss as I would avoid the chawanmushi since the batch we got was extremely fishy and tasted like dead fermented shellfish. The ribs were also pure average. The lamb was overcooked. The grilled fish was dry. The agedashi tofu was a bit oily and below average compared to other places. Wish the dessert was ayce too. Overall, it’s fun to go to with friends to get variety that is ayce too, especially if you are craving sashimi and want lots of it, but it’s far from gourmet in taste.

We come here to celebrate my son's birthday. Will is very friendly to help us how to order and give my son a birthday mocktail. Sashimi is so fresh and surprisingly include bluefin tuna. We also love their foie gras and aburi sushi. Thank you Will give us a wonderful dinner. We are ready to come back for next birthday celebration.

**DO NOT COME HERE AND REGRET IT**
By far one of the worst all you can eat places I've been to. The price you pay here can get you a nice meal at a decent sushi restaurant. Sashimi slices are tiny, seafood is not fresh, I felt sick after eating their food. Definitely do not recommend you coming here unless you want to pay 100$ for the worst AYCE. I almost forgot to mention their wagyu hot pot is only one order per table, and the funny thing is, it's not even wagyu, it's a piece of fat beef with no marble on it.
Your A5 wagyu has a certificate? that's why it's all fat and no meat/marbles on it? and 1 slice of fat per person? What a joke that is.

Honestly was medicore at best. I think best item was the Wagyu beef hotpot. Other good item was steamed egg. Otherwise nothing stood out. Cost for quality was not there. Also lacks variety, same fish used for all the dishes. Also didn't allow to use early bird pricing with birthday!

Trash and overpriced.
Best thing I had was the ice cream mochi that tastes the same as the supermarket ones.

This place is located about a 3 minute walk from Aberdeen Station on the Canada Line - super close! We were here in a party of 5 to celebrate a birthday and we were originally assigned a smaller round table, but the owner/manager (Will) moved us to a bigger booth for more comfort, and this was appreciated. Speaking of Will, he was super friendly with explaining how to order and even sharing a bit about himself and his past experience - just all around friendly manager. The food here was great, and we enjoyed the variety and selection. Our food came out steadily - on average not fast but maybe on the slower side as it was nearing the closing time (we were the last group to leave). The only down side was that the beef tataki was sold out as we had a late reservation. The wagyu beef in our hotpot got a little overcooked as it was overflowing over the pot and into the flames, but Will made up for that by giving us a couple of extra slices!

I'm impressed with how extremely expensive this was while being tremendously mediocre, and that's putting it lightly. Oysters and sushi were not good.

We tried their dine out menu tonight. Just $59 with 10 courses. Including a sashimi platter and A5 Wagyu hotpot, very good deal!

Went with my family to celebrate a birthday today. The food was so good, especially the seafood, suprisingly with no or very little sauce or seasoning. So fresh. Took our taste to the next level. Very welcoming staff. Thank you.
We made an intentional effort to try this place on a weekend trip to Vancouver from Cali. Perhaps our experience was more disappointing because we had higher expectations from watching reviews from influencers, but the food snd service were far below the quality you expect from this pricing.
Having tried numerous AYCE places throughout SoCal and many foodie destinations throughout US and more,
I think decent quality and steady pace of food should be the bare minimum for spots like this, especially at $55+ USD per person, but neither was achieved by Daimanya. Waited for 40+ minutes for foie gras which was mediocre at best, served on cold, soggy slices of baguette. Ankimo that literally tasted like pureed tuna… Lukewarm sake steamed clams. Subpar quality sashimi with limited selection… none of the 20+ small dishes we ordered were impressionable. Our party of 3 became full just waiting for the food. The overcooked lamb chops and the small and limited servings of tempura lobsters were the only semi-decent items. Like most ayce places, different servers were serving us but some just dropped the new dishes off at the edge of the table and left, when the middle of our table was completely empty…not even making an effort. We will certainly not compare this place to any proper sushi joints, but even compared to the dozens of AYCE sushi places we tried, this comes near the bottom.
If the management is content with regular customers, great for them, but if they want to impress new customers, they have to make quite a bit of improvement in food, efficiency and service. Til then, we will stay away and won’t recommend.

Went there for dinner with wife expecting high end, high quality food. That did not happen, as the food was somewhat plain in flavour and some of the sashimi did not look and taste fresh. So disappointed and definitely not recommend or come here again!!! Over rated and over priced!!
