Located on the 2nd level with the entrance from the parking lot. Not easily to find as the restaurant is not visible at the ground level. Really enjoy their fish soup and they can ask not to add additional salt to adjust the flavour ourselves. Consistent quality and reliable as to the fish soup noodles combination. The penne with pork curry is also delicious. They said a new location at Olympic Village is open and look forward to visiting the new location soon.

Not as good as the one on River road. The restaurant is located on the 2nd floor of the mall and not visible from the road.

Their signature fish soup broth is a must have when in Vancouver, that makes this noodle joint special.
Service is typically of a cafe, but the variety of broth noodle, and meat choises makes this place memorable.

Really bad experience here. The staff were unfriendly and the food wasn’t fresh at all. I wouldn’t come back again.

Terrible experience. The service was rude and unprofessional, and the food tasted old and not fresh. Definitely would not recommend this place.

This is one of the best restaurants in the Richmond-Vancouver area. I've been coming here for the past 10+ years every time I visit Vancouver and I have always been impressed. The service is great; the waiters are nice and the food arrives in a timely manner. The best dish from this place is the customizable noodle soups. My favorite is the noodle soup with the original fish soup, beef brisket, and fish fillet, with a side of fried ginger chicken wings and a cold honey lemon. The soup is very flavourful, but not too salty, and the ingredients are always very fresh. Everything about this place is great, so please please visit this place if you're in town!

Restaurantji Recommends
Absolutely unacceptable service. We asked to split the bill using cash and debit, and instead of helping us, the first thing out of the server’s (Jason) mouth was, “How are you going to tip?” — not even a hello or explanation, just immediate concern about their tip.
They refused to do the split because of that, which is ridiculous. We came to eat, not to be guilt-tripped or treated like a problem for wanting to pay fairly.
It felt rude, greedy, and unprofessional. I’ve never had a restaurant make tipping a condition for service.
Won’t ever return, and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who expects basic respect.
Placed order online, waited 30 minutes to pick it up, the reception woman said they never received the order and tell me to cancel the order myself, after I’ve shown her the receipt. Great attitude like I owned her money or something

My mom ordered a fish soup noodles with beef slices. Second bite of her food, she bit into a small shard of glass that was most likely stuck to a piece of the beef. Fortunately, no damage to her teeth and gums. No apology from management
We always love Deer Garden at Fraser so we tried their Richmond location. Extremely bad service atmosphere at the moment of seating. Restaurant wasn't crowded, we asked if we could sit at the booth because we saw another 2 people seating at the corner booth, but lady server get annoyed/offensive at our request and clearly making faces at us for asking. 2-3 servers kept standing across our table talking and laughing, sometimes looking at our food. Very awkward! Menu to choose has horrible design and will confused you of which to choose, I accidentally chosen Scechuan soup instead of Laksa, and lady server just smirk at my mistake and doesn't offer empathy servicing. At payment, we want to pay by debit but cashier person said can only done 1 cash and 1 debit, first time in my life ever heard this. What if 2 separate persons come in, do they ask one of them cash and the other ok for debit payment? Other location in Vancouver doesn't do such thing. Never come back again, Fraser location is smaller but much better at service than here. Would give 0 star if possible!
