Disappointed with quality and customer service

I recently purchased frozen xiaolongbao from Dinesty Richmond, and unfortunately, the experience was deeply disappointing. When I steamed them at home, I discovered they were all clumped together in one unusable mass (see picture). Despite using parchment paper and proper steaming techniques, the dumplings were stuck and tore apart easily—clearly a packaging or storage issue before purchase.

When I returned to the store to kindly ask for an exchange, I was surprised by the manager’s response. Rather than taking my concern seriously, he accused my freezer of malfunctioning. This was not only dismissive but also inaccurate—my freezer works perfectly and all other frozen items are completely fine.

I expected better product quality and certainly better customer service from an established restaurant like Dinesty. This experience has left me with no desire to return or recommend their frozen products to others. I hope management reconsiders how they handle genuine customer concerns in the future.

Good taste and reasonable price

For me it was an ordinary experience and did not justify high menu prices. I understand that they have a good name but lots of much more superior restaurants in Richmond that have same prices.

Ordered delivery from skip and order notes were ignored (less ice in drinks , less sugar in drinks ) also chose roasted Pu’er tea as my drink and they sent me Pu’er milk tea instead . If I wanted milk tea I would have selected it . I don’t consume dairy so it went in garbage .

Very good food with robots and there are none that are overcooked, too salted, etc.

Also the robots are very cute. They are located near RONA. Also free parking?

Just absolutely love this place!
The flavor of the food is very on point. Very attentive service and a bright, clean environment make for a good experience.
Large tables are available for larger groups.
There are most of your favorites available frozen for takeout and a great bubble tea shop at the entrance.

Busy, overcrowded and long wait for seats. Front desk not welcoming and a bit short-tempered. Otherwise food is great, came out fast after ordering and temperature still hot.

Kid-friendliness: Booster seat available.

- Early reservation @ 5:15, the 5 of us arrived on time, the waiter had already mentioned the meal time of 90 minutes, the food arrived in 2 minutes as soon as it was ordered, which means it was set early in the morning, the steamed dumplings were not hot, and the Shanghai stir-fry arrived in 5 minutes, too It's not hot, the food tastes ordinary, but the waiter keeps putting away the dishes, which is normal, but they look at how much food you weigh on the table. When she sees that your food is almost clear, she immediately uses the microphone to say something. I believe that we can almost do it. Let's go, another waitress told us, there are many people waiting for a table outside, can we pay the bill?
Actually we still have 15 minutes to go! !
When eating like this, it is stated that it will take 90 minutes. As soon as I put down my chopsticks, there are still 15 minutes left, and I will be asked to pay the bill. I feel pressured to eat, so I go to the food court to regain my freedom. Of course, I will never look back!

The food is not bad, a bit on the salty and oily side and needs to be eaten with plain white rice.

I wouldn’t come back here unless someone else wanted to. The menu has pictures so it’s good for newcomers who aren’t familiar with the cuisine.
