Had the butter chicken with naan bread & rice, wife had lamb. Beef samosas for apples.
Food was very good, fresh and temperature was perfect.
Service is excellent as staff is very professional, food came in reasonable time. For desert we had Kulfi, if you have never had Kulfi I highly recommend you try it. Ember makes its own with Cardamon infused ice cream topped with pistachio, I noticed some saffron on the top. Truly addictive !!! Will be coming back again, in the summer there is a large outdoor area as they are located right by the water front in Steveston.

Nestled in the heart of Steveston, this Indian-African fusion restaurant is truly a hidden gem. My taste buds were in for an unforgettable journey, leaving me more than satisfied with my meal. The atmosphere inside was delightful, particularly because it wasn't crowded. The service was impeccable, with an elder gentleman who made everyone feel at home. The food was served piping hot, and each dish was a hit.

For a point of reference, I sampled the "kukupaka"—a boiled chicken dish cooked with coconut cream—and it was exceptional.

I highly recommend giving this place a try; it's an experience you won't want to miss.

Let's start off by saying that I am not a person who would pick an Indian restaurant as my first choice to dine out. This place just blew my mind. It is Indo-African cuisine at its best. From all the food to beverages everything is well thought-out and the ambience is great. I love the view of the bar and the kitchen everything looks well maintained. I recommend it as a hidden gem 💎

Took my parents for lunch on a Sunday and we enjoyed our experience. Nice location, good food, service. Will visit again. Indian restaurants in lower mainland tend to have the same dishes, so it was nice to see a varied menu. Chutneys were delicious, fish Tikka was very good and so was the biryani. Okra and eggplant fries were tasty as well.

Amazing East African inspired Indian dishes - the vege pakoras were delicious tasting not too hard or soft with a velvet smoothness in the filling; the BBQ platter was sublime on our palates with the mishkaki perfectly done, the chicken was tender, and the ribs were yummy; the salad with the passion fruit and mango vinaigrette was subtle but flavourful and the fries awesome. We will definitely be back - we want to taste the Kuku Paka and the Biriyani; for desert we had the Gulab Jamun which was a perfect ending to a delicious meal near London Landing.

Wow, what a surprising disappointment. We've been looking forward to our first visit to try "the best butter chicken in the Lower Mainland" and it definitely wasn't. We’re not that hard to please, but this was several notches below “best”. Tasted like tomato sauce with four chicken cubes thrown in, like out of a can. Where was the butter, cream, curry, anything to make it taste like butter chicken? The Vindaloo was slightly better but the naan was burnt and the portions small. The eggplant fries were okay but then we waited nearly an hour for our entres. Everyone around us who ordered after us got their meals first. Based on other reviews, this is a recurring problem so I’m hoping the owners actually read and absorb this. Our server was friendly but the food was third rate. Won't go back, can’t recommend. Too bad.

I wish if I can give less than 1 star rating. I am surprised at the quality and quantity of food they offer.
I wasted my money by ordering from here, the Congolese salad was a kind of joke for $14 and the naan was burnt out.
I am so disappointed with their service and would never ever order again.

This is the best Indian food in the lower mainland. Taken a few friends there and everyone has enjoyed every morsel. Proper Indian Food by far.

I recently had a terrible experience at this restaurant. The owner was constantly hovering over us, making it impossible to have a private conversation. They claim to serve Indian food, but it was nothing like authentic Indian cuisine. If you're looking for real Indian dishes, check out Village Curry Spice, or Best Bite nearby. They offer much better options and a more respectful dining atmosphere.

Love Indian food. Had three meals takeout over the course of five weeks. Veggie pakora and chicken tikka masala. We asked for very mild. First time masala too spicy, second time pakora too spicy and unfortunately third time masala too spicy.
