Big fan of the shrimp dumplings

If you are looking for frozen dim sum, this is the place. They have a good variety of dumplings and the prices are very reasonable. I would say the dim sum are close to restaurant quality. I've tried some places where the skin of the dumplings are very thick or they are very skimpy on the filling. The lady who worked here was very nice and helpful. It's in a mini mall so there is ample parking. Can't wait to come back..............

Their Dimsum style beef balls are the best! Though always sold out closer to the end of day, better go early or stock up.

Tried the zhongzi (sticky rice with pork, beans, egg, etc wrapped in bamboo leaf) which is like an Asian tamale only with rice instead if corn. It was alright but not spectacular.

Absolutely rude customer service. My friend and I walked in there in the afternoon just to check up on what they had to offer. I was at first happy to find some of their wonton packages at a reasonable price, but was not in the need to buy anything at the moment. I told my friend about them and he said that he would come and get some too in the future. When we were about to leave, I thanked the service rep (who was probably in her 40s/50s speaking Cantonese) and as we were leaving, she said in Cantonese something along the lines of, “If you’re not buying anything, then why come in at all?!”. Typical Chinese shopping mentality that should be kept in China, NOT here in Canada.I was very offended hearing this and promised myself never to come here, even though this place was recommended to me by another friend. WILL NEVER COME HERE EVER AGAIN! Too bad I couldn’t give 0 stars as I haven’t bought any food.

Great sticky rice dumplings! Especially like the deluxe one with water chestnuts and pork.

I've been coming to this place since they opened up. They're also a satellite location to the one located on Powell Street in Chinatown. During the Covid19 social distancing challenges people have been doing a lot more takeout. But how about when you need your dimsum fixations? You know you have them. Especially when you're on Instagram looking at all those delicious photos, how can you resist? Lately I've been seeing our wonderful food bloggers show pics of dimsum made at home and this place came to mind. Gah Lok Dimsum makes dimsum for many Chinese restaurants around town. So for me it's the obvious place to get mine for cooking at home. Har gao Sui mai in beef, pork, and other meat options. Shrimp and chive or parsley dumplings Pot stickers Xio Long Bao Sticky rice Black bean riblets Bean curd rolls And more. You can pretty much find your favourite dim sum items there. An example is a bag of 20 shrimp and chive dumplings goes for about $10.50 Payment is by cash or email transfer. The richmond location has English speaking staff now so you can go there and get your food fix. Only two people allowed in at at time during the pandemic. You can also check their website and call and order ahead and pay by email. Makes it easy and they can have it packed for you when ready for pickup.

They have excellent frozen dimsum. Hargau, xiao long bao and beef balls are my favorites. Hargau here has bamboo shoots. This place has the distinction of being Vancouver's first frozen dimsum outlet. They used to be called Happy Family Dimsum. Xiao long bao and hargau are almost an art form. The recipe changes depending on the weather and season or they disintegrate. The other excellent dimsum place Delicious Dimsum is owned by his cousin.
