A cafe that ran out of coffee beans, so I had an insipid drip coffee. Surely, they can do better.
Calinao Cafe is a small food outlet and cafe at the South Terminal. It's good.. the coffee is good and had to have the Nanaimo bars. Lots of seating and its a small airport so you can hear when you need to get up and board.
First time at this terminal. Happy to see a cafe here. I had a toasted turkey, cheese, lettuce, and tomato sandwich. It was perfect to hold me over.
worst coffee around,$3.50 for a cup of dishwater….do not eat or drink here, not worth your money.
Waited 12 minutes and paid $24 for a burger to go. After 12 minutes they weren’t near ready and I had to leave it behind. If they’re unable to provide service when it’s quiet they should let you know that.
It’s the only place to get food at the South Terminal but I stop in every time I come through (about twice a month). The fries could use salt right out of the fryer but otherwise everything from food to coffee is decent. I recommend the beef dip.
Couldn't get breakfast order right asked for 2 breakfasts got 1 had to go order another poor communication & for the price wasn't worth it lesson learned.
Bought a tea and cappuccino. Cappuccino was good but tea had no flavour. Asked for a second teabag as the bags hardly have tea in them (half full) and they wanted another 2 dollars. Asked for a refund and they gave us the other bag free. Still tasted like hot water. Also got a carrot cake slice which was nice
A smalltown diner hidden in this tiny airport. Well priced and with a variety of food you might expect from a diner. Kill time here if you are looking for a burger or breakfast. Try the wonton soup.

Worst food at YVR. Eat at the main terminal instead.

Poor customer service. Ordered two breakfast sandwiches and asked that they have one be on whole wheat bread instead of English muffin and they refused. “No changes.” We would have even paid $1 extra, but apparently it’s impossible for them to use bread, even though they had a loaf right there. I would think a couple pieces of bread wouldn’t cost more than an English muffin so I don’t understand the problem.
small place, very friendly and kind service. i ordered a breakfast sandwich and it was delicious :) The girl who was helping me was also very very nice, i’d def come and dine here again on a layover.

Came to order breakfast before my flight and saw a genuine act of kindness. The woman behind the counter went out of her way to assist another customer in a wheelchair to move the table chairs out of the way so they could sit at the table and enjoy breakfast. Wanted to give a good review so she gets recognized - apologies I did not catch her name. It was at 6:45 am on February 1, 2024. Thank you for making the world a little brighter!
