Great hot pot place! Very friendly stuff and fast service. The food is really good, fresh and in good quality, and they are in pretty good portions as well, it’s very good value. Stuffs are super helpful and will tell you the correct way to eat. Would definitely recommend this place!Parking: Parking it’s located at the side of restaurant, it’s in a garage and it’s free for two hours

No specials at dinner time but can't fault the freshness of the meat and veggies. Tried the tomatoe soup and it was delicious. Unlimited sauces tho you have to pay a 2.50 fee. We spend over $50 per person but did not leave

One star is because no lower rating than this. Bad food, worst service. The waitress pushed us to pay bill because their pos was closing? Then they interrupted our chat three times by cleaning and asking us yo leave…while we were still chatting. It was not late night, it was 3pm! Disguising place. Never go there!
The hot pot is delicious. I highly recommend the porridge base and hand-baked beef balls. I also recommend a variety of seafood and fish fillets. They are very fresh. The service attitude varies from person to person. Some waiters are very nice and some are very fierce.

This is quite a small place. So reservation is preferred. They have individual boiling pots for each person. The food quality is alright. The price is above average. It cost about CAD 60 for each person for common food.

We were looking for dim sum in early November and found out that Garden City Hot Pot had a dim sum menu. We were intrigued because you don't normally find dim sum at a hot pot place.First of all, the complex this place is in seems a bit sketch (or at least it's seen better days). Once you get inside the restaurant tho' it's not bad. You order from a tablet and you can get both dim sum and other items. We started with the braised oyster hot pot. We don't find this at many restaurants any more. The oysters seemed to have a bit of a pan-fried fried texture to the coating and the oysters were accompanied with slices of liver. For the dim sum items, they generally came out to about $9/$10 per dish. The deep fried taro and scallop dumplings had a creamy filling. The scallop itself wasn't great but the taro to filling ratio was spot on.The shrimp spring rolls had a layer of seaweed on the inside of the wrapper and turned out crispy. The chiu chow dumplings had a thinnish wrapper encasing the pork/shrimp and peanut filling and turned out nicely. The honeycomb tripe was fairly good although some pieces were slightly chewier. Meanwhile the steamed tofu skin wraps were quite large and saucy.Overall, pleasantly surprised at the dim sum options at this hot pot place and will have to come back to check out the rest of their dishes.

Don’t know what people are complaining about, great food, big line up, authentic atmosphere.Get the congee stock, get the fried dough, and put the fried dough in the congee after you’re finished with all the meat and fish.Great place.
