The second time came here. It’s kind of expensive for the quality and quantity of dishes we order. And 2 of the dishes didnt feel like fresh cooked. If you charge for this price, you should supply better quality than this.
The chicken is very tough and dry. The portion is very small compared with the price. The good thing is atmosphere like you are in some Fancy China Restaurant. It is expensive. I prefer the money spending on the food instead of very fancy decorations.
Food was great and the vibe of the place was amazing
Dishes tasted all the same. Nothing special and can’t even say any of it is tasty. Mostly just ok. 0 service while verbally asking for 18% tips not sure how they have the dare to ask about tips while giving no service. No chopstick on table. No spoon when giving soup. Dish not clean too. Will never come back again and not recommended. One of the Worst dining experiences I had in Richmond.
Great atmosphere with high ceiling and tasty food! Other than the casserole chicken, the pot stew is good! I like the eggplant with thousand years egg as well. Will come back to try other dishes.
The food was mediocre, not good but not bad, the most that stood out was it tasted premade. We ordered a beef dish and it literally came in 2 minutes. Atmosphere and decor was good, which attracted us to come dine.
However, the service stood out as terrible. No acknowledgement at all after the food was served. Waitresses just chatted amongst themselves as if no customers were present. You honestly get more service at a fast food restaurant with $0 tip. Waitresses gave out the attitude they didn’t even want to be there.
Small serving portions but very well made dishes. Flavor is authentic. Only the frog is a little bit too salty. Service is good.
The chicken was the star of the show!
Geng Shi Ji serves fusion style Hunan cuisine. We’ve ordered quite a few dishes. The Signature Chicken Casserole was juicy, tender and lightly seasoned. Others were average.
Service was mediocre. We came as a large party and sat at the private room upstairs, the environment was enjoyable and quiet for the family gathering, however, the servers seems to forgot that there are diners in this private room.
forgot the exact name of the dish, but their eggplant side dish was amazing

Great food. Good service. Surprised they have a 3.4 rating. This place never disappoints
They don’t allow drinks from outside and wants u to order their drinks🙄
One of my favorite spots. The food really stands out, even with so many great Chinese restaurants in Vancouver. The Chicken Casserole is a must-try—it’s incredibly impressive and hands down the best chicken dish I’ve ever had. I’ve brought several friends here, and it’s always their favorite too.
Its one of my favourite Chinese restaurants! The food is absolutely incredible and the atmosphere is amazing too. Their service was attentive and professional. I would recommend it 100%!
The clam was not fresh but overall still yummy
