Gingeri Chinese Cuisine has been inside Lansdowne Centre for a good number of years, they serve no frills dim-sum, and there is plenty of parking. When you arrive in the very early hours there is typically no wait, the restaurant is quite spacious, and I remember a distant relative having a wedding here. They serve your usual Cantonese style dinner for dinner time.

I find this place is underrated. The dimsum is actually good and hd many choices. Service was friendly. Price is reasonable. Crab claws and mayo prawn are my best pick.
The charsiew was juicy tender too.

Breakfast dim sum for 20% off 🙄 and free tea 🫖plenty of parking before 10:30 am 😅 at Lansdowne Mall if you an early bird, also no line up to get a table.

IMO quality has gone down and menu has less options, but service was very attentive still. Surprise how many people wake up early for dim sum in Richmond (seniors).

Prices are comparable to standard mid level dining for dim sum in Richmond. They have no gimick no fancy decor or no cute plating or elaborate vibes just basic hearty food.

Open at 9am everyday of the week, so I guess there are options to eat breakfast in Richmond 😅 but the seniors happy as the food not too salty in comparison to many others (a tad bland for me) but healthier.

In many Asian restaurants, the minimum is now 18%, but they have option for 10% still. I did not feel pressured and no rush to dine so early in the morning.

This is a bittersweet review. The food was amazing so much flavour and well cooked. Every dish was well presented. However due to the lack of service I received, this has tarnished my first and only experience here. The male host/manager? was not welcoming to us; as he was to the other Chinese speaking customers. For context, we’re all Asian but don’t speak the same language. It’s unfortunate because the other staff who I can see are working hard. By the end, even though the food tasted good and didn’t feel satisfied but disappointed.

Don’t recommend to any Mandarin Speaking diners. Trust me you are possible to receive the rudest and most disrespectful demeanor you can ever imagine. First of all, the black suit elder manager will express the unwelcome attitude to you as you making the first step into the restaurant. 2nd, watch out for the glasses wearing young man waiter, he will literally yell to you for your request, walk away and no response forever. The end, the female manger will throw the receipt back to you if you don’t tip Gold amount.

We wanted to try something new, so we decided to visit this restaurant. The food was average, and the lighting was fine—just not as bright as we prefer.

Unfortunately, we won’t be returning due to the poor service. The manager who seated us didn’t seem happy that we were there. It took about 15 minutes to get two forks for my kids, and another manager literally threw our receipt onto the table.

I don’t expect exceptional service from a dim sum restaurant, but this level of behavior felt rude. It’s hard to understand how restaurants with this kind of service continue to operate in Richmond.

We were lucky to get a table of two within 5 mins despite we didn’t reserve a table on Christmas Day. We came to Gingeri long ago but for some reason we didn’t get a chance to go for the past few years. The most amazing part was the friendliest service we got from their hostess, who was so friendly in such a busy day. There was another young girl server who also provided very attentive and efficient service during our stay. The food especially spring rolls were awesome. Will definitely visit again. Service was 100/100.

Coming from out of town, its nice to get some legit dim sum. Everything we ordered was tasty and service was great. Do recommend bringing a friend who knows the food and translate however the english menu is provided.

I go quite often to this restaurant as the location is convenient so I can do grocery shopping afterwards. I appreciate their good service. Food is good and not pricey.

You spend typically around 45 per person if you order a lunch special. Compare that to other restaurants like these and it’s super cheap! The food here tastes good, just don’t order too much!

Also, depending on the size of the group you pull up with, it may or may not be a good idea to go with at least more than 6 people. Just saying. The portions are too much for less than that.
