Terribly overpriced. This is a personal hotspot restaurant with a Japanese label.

Terrible Experience!
My Taiwanese friend wanted to try this place. The food was average — nothing particularly impressive.
The dining setup was also poor: only bar counter seating with very small seats, which made the experience uncomfortable.
What shocked us most was the service at the end. My friend is new to North America and not familiar with tipping culture. When paying, she chose to skip the tip option, but the server demanded an ADDITIONAL PAYMENT JUST FOR THE TIP. Completely insane!

Had a great lunch experience here, the lady who was helping us was very kind and attentive. 2 for $39.99 combo was perfect for two. Overall would recommend visiting if you’re looking to try shabu shabu

I found out my favorite part of beef for hotpot here. Meal comes with drink and popsicle.

Honestly I think burnaby location offered larger vegetable plates. We ordered premium beef with $34 but it’s actually not tender at all and it’s even heard to tell the difference between pork or beef. All other food and soup are good. It was only a bit disappointed because of the beef quality.

I've been coming to this location since last year and the food has always been tasty. The pumpkin soupbase is a game changer! Highly recommend! The AAA beef option also fit perfectly!
My wife and I got the standard combos with beef. She got the mushroom soup base and I got the Japanese curry soup base. The ingredients were of great quality! Having a unique variety of things to throw into your soup.
However, that's where the positives end. The soup bases were exceedingly bland. Both the standard mushroom and the $5 extra japanese curry soup tasted very watered down. So after cooking your ingredients, you'll pretty much just taste the ingredient, no substance to the broth. The only flavour at all comes from the sauce they provide, which was pretty good. So for the price we paid, $60 for the two of us, we could've gotten a much better soup experience somewhere else and for less. On top of the broth, we had to sit at the bar, which would be completely fine if not for the chairs. The chairs might as well have been concrete, as after an hour, our bottoms were quite sore.
Overall, a decent food experience with good ingredients, but a bit disappointing after the lackluster broth, chairs, and price.
Love this place. Everyone gets their own individual hot pot which I personally like a lot. Definitely recommend
I almost never make a review but I had to this time. First off, food is good and service is ok but when it came time for the bill we decided not to tip since the server just brought us our food and nothing else. When it came time for the bill she pointed out how we didnt leave a tip. Never happened before and we were pretty shocked how you could address that, you could tell she was trying to be nice about it but you don't say that and expect us to not tip again. It should be at the customers discretion and the fact that she asked us if we wanted to tip after we had paid was pretty astonishing. We didnt make a mess, didnt ask for anything special, and just ate our food like normal people, we ended up tipping on an entirely second bill out of pure shock. Really quite disappointed it turned out like that, the experience was good until the end.

They are pretty straight for the happy hour policy. We arrived at 8:57pm and the lady first asked us to go outside and come back after 9pm, even if it’s just three minutes. It wasn’t even busy in the store. But later she let us stay, saying it’s only for this time. They close at 10pm and 1 hour is just enough for us to finish the meal.
Always come here for hotpot. One of the server ladies is super friendly and provides great service!
However, last time we came here, there's a hair in one of the pots. They did exchange it. But we also got charged for 3 instant noodles which we didn't order! I didn't notice this charge until I got home. :( make sure you check your bill before you pay!!
Was often visit here.
Increase pricing during GST break, never come again
Really good soup base and amazing service! They were very accommodating with our baby and made sure we ate comfortably. Highly recommended!
PS they do get pretty busy at meal times, it may be a good idea to call ahead to confirm seating availability.
My favourite hot pot restaurant in Richmond, would recommend for 1-1 meals with a close friend (party of 2)!
