This is an affordable, cash only restaurant that offers all-day breakfast. I ordered a ham and cheese breakfast omelette for $10.25.

Not the best breakfast food you'll ever have, but it's still pretty good and very affordable! The lady is friendly and can speak mandarin and cantonese. She gave me a free extra sausage the first time I went :) Just keep in mind that it's cash only though

If you’re a breakfast lover like me, do yourself a favor and visit this place. From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed with warm smiles and the cozy, inviting aroma of freshly brewed coffee and sizzling bacon. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between casual and charming—ideal for everything from a relaxed solo breakfast to a weekend brunch with friends.

Now let’s talk food. Everything I tried was cooked to perfection. The eggs were fluffy, the toast had just the right crunch, and the pancakes? Out of this world. Fluffy, golden, and generously topped with real maple syrup. Their homemade hash browns had that crispy outside and soft center that’s so hard to get right—and they nailed it.

What really stood out, though, was the service. Attentive without being overbearing, friendly without feeling forced. You can tell they care about their food and their guests.

If you’re looking for a spot where quality, comfort, and great taste come together, this breakfast restaurant is it. I’m already planning my next visit. Highly recommend!

We enjoy every time to see Jenny and to have her delicious well priced breakfast.

Great little mon & pop restaurant in an industrial part of Richmond. This isn't a 5 star gourmet restaurant, but you get a great meal at a very affordable price. This is the food you get when you are a kid and your Asian mom decides that she wants to cook you a western breakfast.

The decor reminds me of the cafes I use to go to with my grandparents in Chinatown back in the 70's.

If you're someone who enjoys stepping back in time and soaking in vintage charm, this old Chinese restaurant is a hidden gem you won’t want to miss. Tucked away on a quiet corner, this place has been around for decades—and it shows, in the best possible way.

From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with a warm, nostalgic atmosphere. The space is filled with mismatched chairs, each a different color and design, adding to the quirky and endearing vibe. It feels like stepping into a time capsule from the mid-20th century. There’s no polished modern décor here—just the kind of authentic, worn-in character that can’t be faked.

The prices are incredibly low, especially considering the variety of breakfast options available. You can fill up on a hearty, satisfying meal without spending more than a few dollars. It’s a dream for anyone on a budget who doesn’t want to compromise on flavor or portion size.

A word of caution: this place only accepts cash, so make sure to bring bills. And it might not be everyone’s cup of tea. If you’re expecting a sleek, upscale brunch spot or fast service, this isn’t it. But for those who appreciate a slice of history, a cozy seat in a colorful chair, and a good breakfast for a great price, this spot delivers something truly special.

It’s not just a meal—it’s an experience. One that feels like home, if your home had a few decades of stories to tell.

Pretty good prices but not considered cheap. I guess dine out prices are high everywhere these days.
I like the old school charm and most than happy to support this Mom n Pop business!

Food was ok, but to be honest the reviews are too high for what it is. Definitely the place needs some Reno and a cleaner washroom.

Golden Coin is a hidden gem for western Chinese food, not only is the food good but the prices are cheap and affordable!

Golden Coin is the perfect spot for a comforting, home-style meal. Whether you're dining solo or with family and friends, it offers a warm, welcoming atmosphere where you can truly relax. The standout hospitality of the owner, who is always there to greet you, combined with the delicious, classic dishes, keeps me coming back time and time again. It's the kind of place where you feel right at home.
