Golden Rice Bowl 金飯碗 (Yaohan)

Golden Rice Bowl is super tasty. Portions are huge, prices are fair, and the staff is always super nice. The honey garlic pork is my favorite. One of my go-to spots at Yaohan. I've tried other restaurants in the food court, but I keep coming back to this one.

This food court Chinese spot is a winner! The fried chicken is always crispy and fresh, the beef is tender and cooked just right, the sweet and sour pork was absolutely delicious and the fried rice was flavorful and satisfying. My kids always asks me to come buy them dinner here. Great portions, quick service, and affordable prices. Perfect to feed the entire family. Lovely workers.

This is the best food court restaurant ever. I come here all the time and they never disappoint. Servers are super friendly and the food portions are big, food is fresh and delicious. Would highly recommend!

Updated 2025.03.27. Came to try out their food, discover their food is second rate, not recommended. The flavor, the quality, the taste, all could be better, but it's not. This place isn't good enough to last as long as it has with their food quality.

Their chow fun, the broccoli, the sweet and sour pork, each one and all tasted second rate. This was toward the end of the day, but even if it was earlier, I doubt the taste would have been much better. After buying my food, I noticed food stall to their left, Chun Hing was much more crowded and popular.

Food tastes really bad, meat quality is not good, and expensive.

Arrived from overseas this morning, wanted a good but simple dinner, found this food court and husband and I got a large box of fried rice, sweet & sour, broccoli + fried chicken at Golden Rice Bowl for $16.99. Great value, lovely lady serving and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal.

Longstanding vendor at the rather rundown Yaohan Centre. The food is average food court fare. I would’ve preferred the broccoli stalks and chicken be cut a little smaller, but portions are large enough to justify the price.

All this 3 dishes for $28. They’re cheap and good. I added $3 for a fresh lemon tea. Yum!

I really want to complain about it. A portion of three dishes and one meal costs 17 yuan.
When I bought it before, the aunt gave me a lot of meat, so I kept buying it. The aunt I met later gave me a total of 6 pieces of meat for two dishes... and then gave me a bunch of broccoli and not even any other vegetables (memory) This dish should be made up of three kinds of vegetables)... The cook aunt advised the store owner to choose one that is not so picky, so as not to kill your own business... Are you so picky now? I really won’t buy it again. It’s expensive and the quantity is small. I really don’t want to say anything. It’s so rubbish and looks so pitiful.

My husband ordered a few party trays for my daughter's birthday party from Golden Rice Bowl last week.
The food were so delicious. Many guests talked to me about that and asked where the food ordered from.
The party was held in ice skating place. When they delivered the food, the food were still hot. Some guests had the food right away, some had food later after ice skating and the food were still warm. We enjoyed the food there and next time if we have party again, we will definitely order food from them again.

Very good service and huge portion for 3 item combo for $15.99. Shared with my wife noodles, chicken, green beans, pork chop. Could not finish and had to take home

This place gives good portions at pretty good prices. I ordered the chicken, Szechuan string beans, and fried rice. The chicken was little bit on the salty side, but fresh. The beans and rice were good.The staff was efficient in her work, and she wore face mask. She was a little quiet, but she was really nice to offer me a soup. ??
