Passed by this place a few times before finally give it a try. Walked in very hungry and had expected it to be like other skewer places where they bring you the cooked food. However, this place is more unique! The skewers are cooked rotating style in front of you. At first we were fairly unhappy because of how hungry we were but was honestly super happy by the end. The food was very yummy!

We ordered skewers that were $1 per skewer. There’s not a lot of meat on it but whatever meat is there is juicy and yummy.

Recommend the lamb and beef! The lamb was super yummy. Their self serve spice also adds to the flavour.

One star docked because the chicken wings were below average and took forever to cook.

The servers were really attentive and nice! We were having trouble determining when the food was actually cooked. So they came around to help us check!

One star docked from atmosphere because the table and chairs were fairly uncomfortable to sit in. For a restaurant where you’ll be there for an extended period of time due to waiting for food to finish cooking, the chairs should really be more comfortable!

Overall a really enjoyable experience. Only come when you’re not super hungry because it takes a while before you can actually start eating. Unless you order some cooked food like fried rice (which we did).

Pretty good spot for skewers with a wide selection to choose from. The rotating grill at the table is nice for even cooking. Not bad for a late night snack, food overall was tasty. Service and atmosphere were standard, cool experience.

Do not order the combo as it was designed to rip you off. The whole combo is $43 per person, but less than half of that value are the meat skewers - the rest are filler dishes. They give you an ungodly amount of pickles that nobody could possibly finish, and then they drown out the rest of the combo with all kinds of bread, tofu and rice.

The skewers themselves are actually quite good, but I felt I was tricked into a bad deal that it ruined the experience (the combo is the first thing you see on the menu). You can spend $25 for a full meal here by picking the individual dishes by yourself.

Message to the owner: if you make the customer feel duped, even if the food is good, they won’t come back.

I had a great experience at Golden Time! The prices are reasonable, and the food were tasty. One of the highlights was the automatic rotating grill – it was fun to watch and made the meal even more enjoyable. The dining environment was clean and comfortable, and the service was excellent. I’ll definitely be coming back!

The server was superb, helpful, and attentive throughout our entire time there. I was impressed/pleasantly surprised by the size of the grilled oyster and eggplant.

I definitely recommend ordering the chicken wings even though it requires patience for it to fully cook. My favourite was their lamb skewers, as it was incredibly juicy and tender.

Be mindful of the scarce parking spots if you are dining in during dinner time.

Really cool experience to have your skewers grilled right in front of you. Everything tasted fresh and flavourful. Staff were super attentive, and friendly. They often came by to make sure nothing was getting overcooked. The staff are super detailed as well - when they helped us load skewers onto the grill, I noticed that they oriented the skewers on the grill relative to how many people were sitting on each side of the table.

An interesting skewer place, I enjoyed it overall although it is not my favourite. I liked that the skewers can be placed on the automatically rotating rack. Atmosphere is nice and quality is decent enough, I wouldn’t mind coming back.

The automatic grill was super convenient, even though it broke down a few times. The staff kept checking on how the meat was cooking, which was really thoughtful. Overall, the dining experience was great, and the ingredients were fresh.
