Gordon Ramsay Steak Vancouver

We had our anniversary dinner here. Food is on the pricy side but well worth it. Been a fan of Gordon Ramsay and ordered the popular ones and they didn't disappoint. The beef and scallop were tender and well seasoned. We really enjoyed the sticky toffee pudding. The drinks were alright though. The staff were so nice, knowledgeable and even congratulated us everytime they brought food out which made us feel special. The restaurant is very open though and we were seated near the entrance so whenever the door opens, we can smell the cigarette smoke coming in but other than that, we had a pleasant time.

We celebrated my son’s 15th birthday at Gordon Ramsay Steak in Richmond, and it was an amazing evening. The food was absolutely delicious and the atmosphere was incredible. I especially loved the classy environment with an open view of the kitchen, watching the chefs work so calmly and efficiently was a real highlight. Everything ran so smoothly and beautifully.

Gordon, you should know that your team truly rocks! The service was excellent, and the cocktails were fantastic. We’ll definitely be back.

Incredible food. Amazing to watch the action in the kitchen. Service was perfect, we are a difficult bunch, but Tyler explained everything perfectly and organized our service like a pro. Love it. We will be back.

Last Friday. Initial hostess with the restaurant 1/4 full wanted to sit us near the service walkway, worst table in the house. The tables were cafeteria style with no warmth or atmosphere at all. The caesar salad was okay, the steak tartar was awful, dry and tasteless with some coconut on top (ugh), the fish was okay but the waitress did not put in our orders for the 3 sides that we asked until we questioned her twice so main dish sat cold by the time sides finally came. When paying had to ask the waitress not to stand right over my shoulder watching glaringly what tip I was going to give. Don't bother going, not good at all!

Honest opinion, it was very crowded so that atmosphere was kind of a little too tight and next to someone else's business. The food, while it was very expensive, I don't feel like it was worth the money. Steaks here, in comparison to Gotham for example, are not even close. We chose to experience the Beef Wellington and I would give it about 4/10, it seems it had been sitting out for a while and not warm.

Our table was really close to two or three other tables like they had wanted to make even more seats available for people, but it's bringing the atmosphere a little tight and uncomfortable. I could literally hear what was going on in the next table and their whole life story.

The service was not bad, but it was apparent that some of the servers were training. So they often came several times asking the same questions.

Would I choose this restaurant as a special evening again? Probably not sorry.

Took my boyfriend out for dinner Friday evening and everything was excellent! Food was delicious as expected (especially the sticky toffee pudding which was complimentary for a birthday) and our server Bob was a delight. He was super informative of the menu answering many questions, and even after paying continued to check in with us. He even brought us “Notes from Gordon” which was normally just for a cocktail they serve. On our way out, he even stopped us and asked if we wanted a photo. Went above and beyond! It was an evening to remember.

My husband and I visited your restaurant for a special evening out, and while the night began wonderfully, our experience unfortunately took a disappointing turn.
For our appetizers, I ordered the mushroom risotto and my husband ordered the crab cakes. The risotto was excellent; however, my husband’s crab cakes contained multiple shell pieces. He stopped eating them and set the shells aside. We informed the waitress and she noticed the shells on the side and removed the dish from the table, and we continued with the rest of our meal.
When the bill arrived, we were surprised to see that the crab cakes were still included, despite the issue and the dish being taken away. We ultimately paid the full bill, including the crab cakes, but felt disheartened that the situation was not addressed.
We hold Gordon Ramsay’s restaurants to a high standard of culinary excellence and service, which is why this experience was particularly disappointing. My husband also spoke with a staff member in a suit about the issue, but no apology or acknowledgment was offered, nor was there any inquiry about whether we had been charged.
We do not mind paying for what we enjoy, but being charged for a dish that was inedible due to quality concerns felt both disrespectful and discouraging. We hope this feedback is taken seriously, as we truly expected a dining experience that reflects the high standards associated with Gordon Ramsay’s name.
