When we came they asked if we have any food allergies, I said me & my friend are pregnant so no alcohol or any foods that's not recommended for pregnant women. Then the first menu they gave us was alcohol menu when I already said we are pregnant.
The table will be better if covered with table cloth. It's quite slippery for the plate, kept moving as we tried to cut our steak.
We ordered tomahawk steak, quite disappointed with the taste. It was too bitter, the surface was too charred. The brussels sprout also tasted bit more bitter for our palate. The appetizer and dessert menu were not interesting.
We were excited since it's out first time of Gordon Ramsay's restaurant experience but went home disappointed.

First off, we went on valentine’s day & our first impression was not great. we were greeted very rudely when we asked what time they were open until as our reservation was for 9:00pm and got a very snarky rude response just stating there is a 1.5 - 2 hour maximum time limit in staying & not even answering our initial question. Secondly upon arrival they stated they had no beef wellington which was the whole reason why we went. so that was very disappointing and that they also weren't running full menu options because of it being valentines day which they should have stated to us when i called and made the reservation. And too boot the food is very MEH and left very disappointed. Our Brussel sprouts were burnt and steak was chewy and our rice was very dry with little too no flavour. Very overpriced for what you’d expect the quality to be. All your paying for is the gordon Ramsey name. The ONLY good thing i can say about our experience was how good our actual waiter was. He was great at explaining the menu and very friendly and welcoming and witty. Other than that i have NOTHING else good to say about this place🙅🏼‍♂️🙅🏼‍♂️ please save yourself the time and money!

We went yesterday to try out this venture and we were extremely happy, we sat in lounge wish we could get a dining room, but than we will miss the amazing and highly professional server Sandeep. Food was as expected top notch, but we have never seen such a wonderful service atleast in Vancouver. Attention to detail, menu knowledge , it looks like we know him since so long and everything was just on time. Thank you Sandeep for memorable experience. We will

Took my dad out to this restaurant for his 60th. We had to try the beef wellington and it did not disappoint. Raghav, our server, was amazing and very hospitable. He offered some great recommendations we tried out, such as the Petite Plateau seafood platter, which was great value for the quality, especially the oysters. At the end of the night we were served a delicious sticky toffee pudding complimentary for my dad’s birthday, some of the best pudding I’ve ever had. Thanks again to the restaurant and Raghav for making our night special, it was a night to remember!

Dinner at GR steak was divine. Our server Brenda was top notch overlooking every detail and her recommendations were spot on. We enjoyed the Porterhouse, crab cake, shrimp cocktail, scallops, sablefish, toffee pudding and cheesecake. Her attention to detail was immaculate. We had a wonderful evening.

Went with my wife as we both love Gordon Ramsay restaurants and had to try this one also. We had the warm bread, crab cake, pork belly and British stout onion soup (shared) for appetizers and they all were excellent. Full of flavour and beautiful presentation. Then I had the 8oz Wagyu striploin steak, medium rare, and it was absolutely phenomenal! Every bite was so full of flavour! My wife had the salmon and it was absolutely delicious also. Cooked to perfection and well seasoned with a nice crispy skin. Finally, the amazing Sticky Toffee Pudding. Just a classic that can't be beat for dessert in my opinion. Also want to say that the Notes From Gordon cocktail (their version of Gin & Tonic) and the Hugo Spritz were both very tasty cocktails that we enjoyed very much. Also we had red wine with our mains and they were fantastic as well (1884 Malbec and Bonanza CabSauv). Overall a tremendous meal, with great ambiance and the service from our waiter Sandeep was next level! Yes, it is expensive but you also have to expect to pay for quality and quality is what you get!

UPDATE (February 22,2025):
I reached out to management regarding my previous negative experience at the restaurant and was met with exceptional customer service provided by Mr. O'Brien which in turn made me decide to give the restaurant another shot.

When my party arrived to the restaurant, we were promptly seated, and we immediately noticed a huge turn around in service. Our server, Sandeep, was outstanding. All the food was timed perfectly, table was cleaned, napkins were folded, and most importantly, it felt like talking to a friend.

This experience on top of the amazing food was worth going back and editing my review and giving them 5 stars.

My partner and I will return.

We made reservations for 2 at 8pm February 5, 2025.

When seated, I specifically told our waitress that my partner doesn’t like onions and she stated that the onions would be removed on our amuse bouche, however they weren’t, and I had to remove it myself.

When it came to ordering mains, we ordered the beef wellington and the waitress pushed for us to order more sides, even though it already came with 2. She felt like a car salesman. When I refused the additional sides, she turned to my partner thinking that she would cave in to her pressure. Which felt disrespectful.

We asked the waitress to serve our wine when the beef wellington arrived, however it came when we were halfway through our meal.

Later, we requested a specific dessert and the waitress left. Soon after she returned and stated that because it was my birthday, she would “pay” for our dessert and then set dessert menus in front of us and asked for us to order another. After rejecting a second dessert, she said if we can’t finish it, then we can take it for to-go. Another poor and despicable attempt to build a bill.

Even though I thought this horrific experience at a supposed fine dining establishment was finished, she asked me to tip her more by asking if I wanted to do a “standalone payment”. I told her no, but she stated “I need to tip out” over and over until I caved just so she can go away. Keep in mind the amount that I tip reflects the service I receive, but asking for more tip is just outrageous and lowly. Tips are earned.

Other than the terrible service by our waitress, the food was great. It’s just a shame that they chose to hire someone that has no place in a fine dining establishment. We definitely won’t be coming back again.

On a side note, the short Asian busser lady was phenomenal. She consistently filled our waters and cleared our plates with a smile. I hope all of my tip money went to her.

At Gordon Ramsay Steakhouse in Vancouver, our experience was elevated by our exceptional server, Brenda. We kicked off our meal with a creamy risotto and two expertly crafted cocktails that set the perfect tone for the evening. For the main course, we indulged in the iconic Beef Wellington, which was cooked to perfection—tender, flavorful, and encased in a flaky pastry that melted in the mouth. Each bite was a celebration of flavor and texture. Brenda’s attentive service and insightful recommendations made our visit truly memorable.

Lucas was our host and was very attentive and made excellent recommendations.

The stout onion soup was very rich and savoury.

The beef Wellington was very tender and delicious— the duxelle mushroom paired very nicely with the meat and sauce.

Mocktails are fun— highly recommend them all. The ginger has a nice spice and surprising savoury hint.
