Its a hidden gem, priced reasonably well. Very good service and good variety. Glad I found this place for a nice hot pot experience. All the best to the team who runs this establishment.

I’ve been going to this Grandma Liu frequently for over a year now and my most recent visit was not a good one.
I noticed that they cut the lobster tails in half and they were still selling it for the same price they did before they cut it which is just a price gouge.

I walk up the cashier and ask him about the lobster tail pricing (before grabbing any) and suddenly he doesn’t speak English anymore, after a pathetic attempt to ignore my questions he lifts up my bowl and started looking around it like I tried to steal some lobster tail..

Terrible attitude.. I would say I wouldn’t go there again if I wasn’t addicted to this place.

In the past three years, I ate at least once a week. There was a 10% discount on take out. Half the time, I would treat take out as a dining in to escape the 10% off. I’m too lazy to say it.

The food was very fresh and tasty, the broth tasted a bit like peanut butter, i wish they would have told me before, i don’t have allergies but is courtesy. It looks rustic and simple and prices are ok to be richmond

No one ever answers the phone

we arrive the place 19:00.
Choose and pay for the food at 19:20
Didn’t get any thing until 19:50, so we have to ask to pack the food in the container to go.
Finally we got our “take out” at 20:00.

Also we missing the Chinese Donut in our order.

Disappoint.

Came here for the first time and wasn't impressed. Not many options to select from in all aspects... Broth, sauces, fresh items, noodles, drinks, etc. And the extra spicy option was not spicy at all.

I did like the balls selection though, free coke, and the fact that there were no wait time when I went.

Expect no service here, it's more of a eat and leave kind of place. No friendly greetings, no smile. Which would be okay if the food was worth it.
