Jajangmyun was good. They usually have nice side dishes that are refillable. Best part is that they have tons of tables and plenty of parking spots, no need to stress about waiting for either.

Came here a few times and the food and service was really good. When we first found this place we thought it was a gem with great food and service. The past few visits was quite the opposite. Tonight, we waited by the entrance without anyone acknowledging us and we had to literally ask for a table. After sitting down, a server brought food to the next table and I tried to get her attention to order, she glanced over and walked away. After waiting for a while we had to go near the kitchen to asked a server to take our order. It’s not like they are under staffed, they have at least 4 servers working, perhaps they weren’t trained? The last time we were here, I ordered a beef soup and it literally came with 3 very small pieces of beef, it was literally just a bowl of soup. I asked a lady walking past, she’s either the manager or the owner and she checked my soup. She appeared surprised that there’s no meat in the beef soup and went back to the kitchen and brought out a plate of meat.If it weren’t because this place opens late, I really wouldn’t consider dining here. After the past few visits, we’d rather eat somewhere that provides actual service with quality food.Sorry Hanok you’re quite a disappointment. ??

Super good food and even better staff! We had our reso at 6, group was suuuuper late but the staff were so patient and friendly with us. Food was excellent and reasonably priced. I would definitely come back here.

Food and price is great. We spent under $120 for a party of six people, including tax and tips! With the current inflation, where else can you get good food for such a good price? The only complaint is that it's hard to get the attention of the waiters/waitresses when you need services (e.g. place order, tea refill, getting the bill). Unfortunately it's always that way with Hanok.

Good prices, fresh ingredients and tasty korean dishes. We've visited here a couple times since it first opened over a decade ago. It's not a place we go by often but it is a nice place to visit for when one has the korean food cravings. The restaurant is big, nicely decorated with traditional east asian decors of korean themes and dark wood.Service is good and attentive. No reason not to return!

The food is pretty good and not too expensive for a Korean restaurant. The venue also looks very nice and is good for large groups of people. The place is also open pretty late at night, which is great if you just want to relax for a while. However, the customer service is not so good and we had to wait a long time to get more tea, refills, the bill, etc.Overall, a good place for a meal with a large group of people, but don't expect stellar customer service.

We orders spicy rice cake and beef soup.Rice cake was not bad but beef soup wasn’t good… they use firm tofu which ruined the whole food and the broth was not flavored and rich enough.Btw, I’m a tofu lover, and have tried many Korean restaurants. Many of them use soft/medium tofu in their hotpot soup which is tasted much better.

They used to have amazing lunch time combos at great values, but then they stopped offering lunch service on weekdays and along with, no more lunch combos.Food is a bit hit & miss these days as some item's quality has dropped (soybean stew for example) while other can be good (kimchi fried rice or spicy pork hotplate), or just okay overall (black bean sauce noodles). At the prices they charge now, you can find other Korean restaurants that are either more value or better quality. I'd say hanok is better left if all other places are full and you're not wanting to wait as they have lots of dining space available while hardly ever being all that busy.

We ordered delivery, hence the the texture might not be at its best, however, the seafood pancake is too thick for my liking. Beef tofu stew is alright.

The pork neck bone soup here is what makes us keep coming back. The other food we've tried are not worth a second try. Service is friendly even if the staffs are busy.

We ordered seafood pancake and stir fried spicy squid, bibimbob . It was horrible.. there was no seafood in seafood pancake.. it was 100 percent flour.. greasy.. and stir fried spuid had not enough squid.. i ate 6 of short squid leg but there was tons of onion..

Uh huh

Had their Chinese food combo 1 (짜장면 , 짬뽕 , 탕수육) and m20 (순두부 찌개 + 고등어 조림). As someone who had first come here over 7 years ago I can say their food tastes consistently worse. Not ideal as I really loved their soft tofu and mackerel combo and use to go there during lunch time lots. This is less than ideal as I feel like I lost yet another of my fav restaurants

I've been a few times and always love it. Sometimes I've been with a buddy who can translate for me and sometimes I've been without. The language barrier is present but not prohibitive by any means. The food is always excellent and the sides are a welcome addition that frequently changes so they're a fun surprise.Last time I was there I got a Bibimbap bowl, stir fried beef, cold buckwheat noodles, and fried dumplings. Normally I also get a soup but my party didn't want soup (their loss). The four dishes were enough to be filling (not stuffed but content) for 3 adults (2 men, 1 woman) and came in at around $50 total. They didn't have the noodles that I wanted available but the ones I went with were also quite good.Service is not particularly attentive; it's more of an "ask and you shall receive" situtation which I personally quite like.I would recommend this place readily and it's well worth the trip out to Richmond.
