We recently tried Hula Poke at CrossIron Mills and were pleasantly surprised by the bold flavors and fresh ingredients. I went with the Ponzu with sweet potatoes and coconut rice as the base, topped with Tiki sauce — and it was a delicious combination. The flavors were vibrant and balanced, with the ponzu adding a nice citrusy zing to complement the creamy coconut rice.
One standout aspect was the excellent service. The server was attentive and went above and beyond by offering samples of different sauces to help us find the perfect match. That extra effort made the experience feel personalized and welcoming.
Others in our group tried the grilled salmon with kelp noodles and Tiki sauce — and those kelp noodles were a delightful surprise. Fresh, crunchy, and light, they added a unique texture that really stood out. The fish was fresh and well-prepared, and the overall presentation was clean and appetizing.
The crispy onions and mix of sesame seeds sprinkled on top of the bowls added the perfect crunch and burst of flavor, elevating the dish even more. If I had one small critique, it’s that the coconut rice could’ve been a bit more flavorful on its own, but with the toppings and sauces, it still worked well.
Service was quick, friendly, and very accommodating. We loved trying something new, and the quality of ingredients and thoughtful preparation really showed. Will definitely be back to explore more of the menu!

I got the Ancho bowl today (June 14th) and it was delicious, nutritious, and filling. Highly recommend. The Indian girl’s customer service was fantastic. I couldn’t decide on the type of bowl to get so she let me try 3 sauces. I don’t leave tips at takeaway food joints but I did this time because of her amazing service. Give the woman a raise or promotion. :)

I’ve been getting Hula from here since they opened a few years ago and I’ve never had a problem but the last 2x I’ve gone I’ve felt so scammed. I counted and for almost $17 I got 4 pieces of fish and barely any veggies. I did ask for no kale but I’ve never been served bowls this empty until recently. This is crazy and not worth it.

Young lady that took my order very friendly! Young lady who made my order seemed efficient in her duties. Then she placed the order on the tray for me… as soon as I asked for a lid to go… BANG!! Slams it down on tray… everyone in area looks over… she turns nice… oh would you like me to put that on for you?? I took it away to do it myself!! Sorry you don’t like your job honey… or you don’t like customer asking for something!! Wow!!

I ordered the Yuzu poke bowl with chicken and substituted rice with kale. The flavor is on the salty side. The vegetables are fresh, but the chicken is very dry and tastes weird.

This is my first experience with Hula's delicious poke bowls. Oh my! Was it ever scrumptious! I got the marinated salmon in Cali Veg with sushi rice, Hula chips and a ginger kombucha. It was every flavour I wanted! All of the tangy goodness of fresh ingredients with the savory sea flavours that are so hard time find in Alberta like raw salmon!

Got food poisoning. I got the Spicy Korean poke bowl with salmon yesterday around 5pm. It looked and tasted fine but I felt sick shortly after and unfortunately threw up.
Tried the peruvian (spicy citrus) flavour and it has nothing to do with Peru. Poor presentation, not much protein and way too much lettuce. Just take it out of the menu.
