We went for an early dinner and had a great time! Staff was very attentive, our plates were cleared and drinks refilled quickly. Chef did a great job preparing our meal, beef was a little tough but the flavor was delicious.

The food was incredible and Mickey was amazing! The price you are paying is worth it. This was my first experience in a teppanyaki and again, thanks to Mickey for being so polite and an excellent chef. The staff was really busy but the whole time I was there they were so attentive and even gave me recommendations about what to order. I will definitely be back!

Quality of the food I think was fair but when cooked all the food was rather salty. I should have asked the chef to take it easy on the seasoning. Watching the chef cook wasn’t that exciting. With the karaoke going on beside us the atmosphere was okay. Also be prepared to smell like food after eating here. The service was good, the staff is friendly and attentive to filling our tea cups and giving us fresh plates when it was filled with shells and all. I got the seafood medley.

The service was attentive and the environment has a certain nostalgia, but the food is average. We ordered the 4 person supreme set with abalones and Japanese wagyu. Was expecting more fanfare and delicate cooking but it was more rushed through. What we couldn’t understand is that there was no serving dish change…after the juices from the seafood the chef put the wagyu on the same wet plate…?Anyways, it was an ok place for average food.

Don't tell customers that there is a seat for 2 at 6:30PM if they have to wait over 1.5 hour before being served even an appetizer. By the time we received the food, we were starving. When I made a fuss about this to the waitress, other customers started harassing me for being "rude". Who is the one being rude here??? We even RSVP several days ahead of time and we were NOT served food until close to 8:00PM! The place is expensive too so this is a big red flag. Take your business elsewhere.

service was good, we had the course meat. but it was tasteless and bland unfortunately. I love the people in Vancouver BC but my only problem with this restaurant is that it pretends to be a Japanese teppanyaki but it's not. It kinda ruins the Japanese reputation in taste.

The service is good and the place is cozy and nice. The food is just average and compared to other teppanyaki places and experiences I have been to, much less entertaining with limited engagement. No tricks except spinning an egg and one flame fire over shrimp. Nothing else. Literally like watching someone cooking at Edo in a mall food court. The taste of the food was okay but a bit oversalted. Average food experience that was not very memorable.

KANPEKI TEPPANYAKI & SEAFOOD BAR8.7 Overall8.8 Food Quality9.8 Service7.5 Dining Atmosphere7.9 ValueOverall it was pretty good! It’s not as entertaining as the ones they do in Mexican resorts, but the service was top notch! They constantly were asking if we needed anything, always clearing our plates, excellent customer service! The food quality was overall pretty good. The sauces were just ok though. Would have preferred if they had some more soy / teriyaki style sauces available. In terms of price it was like $390 before tip for 6 adults and 2 kids. Only 1 large bottle of sake, the rest was food. The beef wrap with onions and garlic was AMAZING! Definitely the star of the show. 10/10 I would order this again! The stir fry clams were also very good! Must have!We also got a Unagi Don, raw oysters, chicken wings, fried squid, Rib Eye, Ikura fried rice, and they also gave us complimentary salad, fruit, and ice cream!
