Nice place, but service is really slow for all you can eat, and the grill is not hot. Takes long to cook your food. We had a lot of items not even come as well, and the quality of food was mediocre at best.

This baking pan will burn everything without oil. The sashimi and meat quality are quite poor. The rice cakes in particular were terrible to eat. The service was pretty good. It's just that the food is a bit unpalatable.

I hate it. I don't recommend it. The staff was very nice, the food was beyond horrible. The meat tasted so bad. I am still shocked as I don't understand why would meat Tate be so fishy. It Was so so so bad. It tasted disgusting. And all the sides were not fresh. I will never go there again?

Good AYCE BBQ menu in Richmond with some pre-cooked/ready to eat items like chicken karage, sushi, takoyaki etc.

3 stars only because their grill takes forever to cook things...fortunately they never kicked my group out which makes sense since the grill not cooking things quick enough is beyond a customer's control.

The BBQ was ok, some meats were better than others like the beef plate. The chicken leg was very bland and had no flavour so you have to make use of their dipping sauces. The special pork belly was good as well...I would avoid the regular pork belly (non marinated one), I think it's the super thin slices that looks like bacon, since those are pretty bland and not worth grilling on a super slow griller.

Also I would avoid ordering chicken and mussels because they take forever to cook. Aside from that I think this place isn't too bad.

We went with the cheapest menu the $48 one and paid about $62 each including taxes and tip with one bottle of beer.

The interior here is pretty nice though and the seating is very roomy. Finding parking around here however is a nightmare... especially on Friday nights.

Overall this place wasn't too bad - if they can improve their grill and make it heat more so that it can cook things faster that would be awesome...the server's said they couldn't increase the heat too much for our safety which is understandable, but at the same time grilling things on their grills take a lot longer than other places.

Tried the medium tier of AYCE menu and fruit tea from all you can drink. It is a bit pricey but the meat quality met my expectation of that price range. Also, the quality of the pre-cooked food are slightly better than the average AYCE. The waitress was very friendly as well and she kept asking whether we need to refill our drinks.

Overall I and my families are very happy with the dining experience and would definitely go again.

I am Japanese. The taste was so bad that I wish they didn't call themselves Japanese yakiniku.
First of all, the rice was dry, shabby and old, which made me angry because Japanese yakiniku is usually served with good rice.
Equally bad was the sashimi, which cost $10 and came out with only six slices.
The taste was so bad that it could not be called food. It tasted so bad that it could not be called food. It was old and bashed up and did not taste like fish at all.
The meat sauce was also weak and the worst part was the soy sauce.
It tasted like a sweet sauce and was not edible.
The meat was still good, but the heat was low and the meat was a lie, not understanding Japanese yakiniku at all.
My family of 3 will never go there again with the same second opinion.
Please quit trying to make the restaurant look Japanese.
Go train hard in Japan!
The price is too expensive, it cost us $250 for 3 people. I want my money back.
The attitude of the staff was not good either.
