Very impressed with this place. Ordered 5 dishes for my mom and brother. All of them were top quality and good value. Service is great and very friendly. Will definitely return

My friend and I went to Kongee Dinesty on a day they were short staffed, but that didn't stop our servers from treating us so kindly!! Food (fish with added century egg congee; deep fried squid; donut; rice roll) was prepared quickly and was very subtly flavourful (in a good way) :)

Come here for the congee and pork liver.Everytime I'm visiting, gotta come for it.

The food was good. However, when it came to payment this place only takes cash but there's no indication at the entrance that this place only accepts cash.

Food is good, price reasonable. Not crowded tables spacing.

As a Cantonese restaurant, their service is actually very good. Preserved egg congee is definitely better than seafood congee.

I have been craving liver congee (don't judge), for as long as I can remember, because it's so hard to find. Well I'm happy to say I was finally able to satisfy this craving today at Kongee Dinesty. We ordered the following:Pork Liver & Slice Pork Congee - this congee was so much better than what I remember. The congee was flavourful, the liver & meat was tender & I love the addition of the peanuts. I always find congee lacks texture but the peanuts give it a nice contrast. It really exceeded my expectations & hit the spot.Chinese Doughnut - this for me is a must when having congee. It was light, flaky & melt in your mouth. I love putting it in the congee and allowing it to melt into this gooey soft puddle of yum. At $3.95 though it is very overpriced especially for what you get.Steamed Pork & Mushroom Dumplings - these Siu Mai were huge & packed with flavour! They were one of the best I've had in a long while.Pan Fried Rice Rolls in XO Sauce - this was carb loading heaven. Again it was extremely flavorful (a common thread amongst all the dishes we had). The rice rolls had a nice chew to them, everything tasted fresh & it had a subtle heat to it which was pleasant.Overall this is a nice little restaurant with friendly service. They take COVID-19 seriously. Even the chefs in the hot steaming kitchen can be seen wearing facemasks. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because their online menus are out of date. They no longer have their breakfast & lunch combos, so expect to pay quite a bit more. They're not open at 9am as their website says. In other words don't rely on their website giving you any current information. They are also cash only, but they do accept e-transfer. I'm hoping they bring back their old menus post covid-19. It would definitely make it a more affordable meal out.@inspiringfoodie

One of my go-to Chinese seafood restaurants for dinner in Richmond. Food is solid, especially the congee which would be expected based on the name of this place. Service is really what stands out for us, all the staff treat us like family and we really only go once every couple of months. Prices are a tad high but seemingly in line with most nicer Chinese restaurants nowadays. Washrooms are ok at best, but I've definitely seen worse in restaurants. Still highly recommend.
