Fantastic chicken, the best chicken gravy out there and the fries are good as well
My first time at this restaurant was definitely my last. The food was mediocre at best, like you could make chicken much better at home or even at KFC. Even the fries were mushy and lacked salt or pepper.
To make matters worse, the person taking our order seemed angry and overworked, as if he was being paid tooooo little.
And don’t even get me started on the spicy chicken. It wasn’t spicy at all.
We ordered several pieces of spicy chicken, but we got original flavor. The chicken is juicy but has a fishy smell and tastes not fresh. Both chicken and fries are overly oily. There's too much oil in the gravy. It tastes like a lot of flour was added. They made the seasoning themselves.
Man we used to come here all the time for delicious chicken, fries and the BEST gravy. Sooo disappointing now, the food is greasy AF and the prices are insane. $4 for a small gravy?
Mary Browns gets my business now, but I still miss the gravy.
As soon as i walked into the store smiles faded and they rushed me to order. i ordered the wings(after a long back and forth interaction, asking about the food with no clear response)
a group of people walked in and they were greeted with smiles and thanks for coming by. nothing changed as more people walked into the store. i was the first one there, got the smallest meal, and was still the last one served. my guess is it was a racial thing ( all the customers and workers were asian except for me.)
I have heard great stuff about this place. My daughter was craving chicken strips so we decided to try. They don’t have strips/tenders so we ordered chicken nuggets. For 6 nuggets I was charged $11.54! They were pressed meat nuggets that looked like McNuggets and tasted awful. Unfortunately we left the restaurant before we looked in the box. We ended up going to Church’s Chicken around the corner for something edible.
Good chicken!
The chicken is pretty good but doesnt stand out as much as I thought it would for the price.
Major disappointment. Very expensive for not very good food
Just fresh chicken and boiling hot. Other than that, no taste, no service, nothing. Just a waste of money and time.

Great fried chicken. Saw this place on YouTube. There’s no seating inside so I ate in the park across the street. The spicy chicken really wasn’t spicy at all. Otherwise it’s pretty good.
Their fried chicken is always hot, juicy and crispy. Way better than church's chicken, Popeye and hi five. IMO
Definitely not like it use to be. The orders don’t come fresh anymore as it use to be made to order. Our recent orders have been what seemed like pre-fried batches and slightly heated when you order. The skin is soggy and definitely not as crisp as it used to be. Flavour is still good and the owners sometimes throw in an extra piece which is great! I just wish they made it fresh to order as it tasted much better then.
Was excited to try this place as it was recommended by friends. It was busy so we thought it must be good. We were extremely disappointed by the food. We ordered the spicy chicken and it was not spicy at all. One thing the chicken was cooked perfect but it had hardly any flavour. Fries also had no seasoning and the coleslaw and potato salad weren’t good either they had a weird taste to them. Definitely wouldn’t come back.
LOVE L.A. Chicken! It is simply made with love. The friend chicken is SO good and not greasy - hard to say if I like the traditional or spicy better. The gravy is the style you remember growing up - homemade that a spoon could stand up. Delish! The fries WITH gravy, well, no words are needed. I even got my choice of 3 salads which made this an incredible meal. What I loved even more was the presentation, Quality take-out bag, everything well placed in the container ensuring the utensils and condiments would not get crushed. Well done! I will be back...soon!
