Level V is partnered with and shares a cafe space with Whisk Matcha, and from the perspective of a customer visiting the cafe, they basically function as one business since you order everything from the same counter. I have left a detailed review of the whole cafe on the location entry for Whisk, so here I'll just go over what the bakery offers. I am working my way through their offerings and think I've tried a pretty representative sample of what they serve, but there's always a wide selection available at the cafe and they're always whipping up new things, so I think I'd have to be eating their stuff every day if I really wanted to be able to try everything!I think that the objective best thing you can get here are either cookies OR come after they open and try a bun. Any bun. They are always fresh in the morning, and the slightly sweet yeast dough is so soft and tender. They rotate through various sweet and savoury fillings. The ube mochi bun that I think is fixed in the rotation is very good; one of my favourite seasonal offerings was the salted "yolk" bun, where the vegan salted yolk filling was actually made from squash. I like that they have some veganized versions of common Asian pastries that usually contain meat so that I can try these flavours. Most of the meat substitutes are not processed imitation products but creative culinary replacements. Even if you eat meat, if you have an open mind, I would still recommend these savoury buns if you want to try something different. The cookies are similarly very soft, not too sweet. These hold up their freshness better throughout the day so you don't have to come right at opening to enjoy them at their peak (the buns are also great at any time of day, but I do notice a difference between when they're just a few hours out of the oven vs later in the afternoon). They have staple flavours and rotating seasonals which are all interesting flavours (the staple matcha mochi cookie is heavenly). They have a few twice-baked croissants: matcha and almond. If you like really buttery, gooey croissants, these might not be for you, because they're a little crunchier than typical croissants and don't have that buttery sheen. I personally don't miss the butteriness and prefer this version, which doesn't leave me feeling like my face is oily after eating it. They're almost closer to a bread dough than pastry. The matcha version has a powerful dusting of matcha and a delicious matcha custard inside. They sell whole cakes, which can be preordered from their website or grabbed as a walk-in (they have a few available for walk-ins every day), and usually there will be something available by the slice. I tried a slice of pistachio cake and really enjoyed the moist crumb and smooth "buttercream" frosting. The cake was a little dense but I didn't mind it at all. I definitely want to try more of their cake after trying this one. They have various other desserts that come and go: lots of cupcakes in fun flavours, macarons, sometimes vegan cheesecake, sometimes bars, sometimes tiramisu. I haven't been disappointed with anything so far. Some are gluten-free. The desserts don't always taste exactly like their non-vegan or non-GF counterparts, but are always delicious in their own way.

This place is a little vegan gem: almond croissants (reminds me France), matcha mochi cookie, savoury or sweet buns, mochi muffin, soft serve, tiramisu, matcha cheesecake...I tried a lot of their items and I am always satisfied! There is not a lot of seats but it adds to the charm of this little cost cafe ☺️

Cheesecake is quite delicious but a bit small compared to other shops, Matcha Latte is not as delicious as I expected.

I am allergic to soy, dairy, gluten, eggs and peanuts and I am so grateful this shop offers lovely cakes and cupcakes catering to all of that. I've had their cupcakes to parties and they are delicious and looks and tastes "normal", not like anything special and allergy friendly. Please keep it up!

This is our FAVOURITE bakery in the city. We go twice a week because it's that good, my favourite items are the almond croissant and the earl grey white chocolate chip cookie (but everything is amazing). I love that Monica chooses to make her products plant-based for ethical reasons, though if you're worried there might be a compromise on the flavour - don't worry, there isn't! Many people that I know that go, didn't even know the items were vegan by flavour! Additionally, the staff are very nice and it's got a lovely interior space. Highly recommend!

I've been coming here maybe twice a week for a year and a half now. It's my favourite vegan bakery in town and I always feel so lucky to have it in my neighbourhood! My favs are the sausage & cheese bun and the ham & cheese croissant. I'm not a fan of desserts that are too sweet, but their sweet and savoury items are just perfect <3Vegetarian options: It's all vegan.

Love this place, just needs to be bigger. Good selection of cakes, must order ahead. Part of Whisk Matcha, so pretty small location for two businesses. Currently only a bunch of two seaters, and I’d prefer a bigger space for 4-6 people instead of the merch stand.

I've had Level V's delicious mochi muffins before, but got to try more of their plant-based offerings with their Too Good To Go bags. I believe their baker was experimenting with mochi cookies (was told they were strawberry and jasmine flavours), and another box had cupcakes and matcha mini tarts; the tarts are the same included with their Starry Village hot chocolate for the Hot Chocolate Festival - in collaboration with Whisk Matcha. The cookies had the perfect amount of chew and fragrance, and wasn't too sweet. In contrast, the icing on the cupcakes was quite sweet. However, the more neutral, muted cake balanced it out. We couldn't pick out the flavours except for the one with lemon icing. I'm looking forward to trying more of their baked goods in the future, including their cakes after learning they have gluten free options as well! The space has very limited seating so I imagine it can get busy on the weekends.

I love this place! I get my vegan birthday cakes from here, the peanut butter one is the best. Clean and zen environment as well. Fun selection of drink. The rose jasmine hot chocolate for the hot chocolate festival is the best. Rose is my favourite, I hope more floral drinks or cakes come in the future!
