I’m a regular here. We eat here on special occasions because the food is great. Expensive but worth it.
I go here all the time with my family, not alone because if you go alone, it feels like kinda sad.
Order sushi or your liking and sashimi for the whole group to share and add on a main meal of your choice and you’re good to go. It’s also conveniently placed near my residency which is also why I like going here.
By the way, you can check out what special stuff they have, I always like to eat the Aji sashimi because the flesh is very sweet and we get to deep fry the fish later and eat it like so.
From all my time eating here, I have not had a negative experience with service. A very nice place here in Richmond.

If you want to find a better quality Japanese restaurant in Richmond, I will suggest manzo. We ordered some sashimi platter, salmon belly and Toro sushi. Plus a few hot dishes. Everything are very fresh and satisfying.

Premium sashimi just like Japan. The restaurant was decorated nicely, staff was friendly and amazing selection of drinks. Will definitely return and worth every penny.
Still my favorite sushi spot. Unagi excellent. Spicey scallop delicious. Toro melt in your mouth and fresh as the ocean. Spicey clams almost too big, very fresh and flavorful.
Squid legs not a hint of rubberyness.
servers were very nice and accommodating and the food was very yummy! not the cheapest sushi place i’ve visited but definitely worth it :3

The service was outstanding, accommodating with all staff being very professional and friendly. The food was another level, flavours that just reminded me of Japan, every dish was perfect. I would definitely come here again
Super expensive and not too Japanese.
Parking: Park outside the restaurant, but not too easy to get in.

While staying at a nearby hotel on a business trip, I looked for Aki Izakaya for burgers and Chinese food and found it!
There was a Japanese lady working at the store and I was able to talk to her in Japanese, which made me feel at ease.
Sashimi is something I don't normally eat overseas, but the salmon sashimi here was amazing.
Basically, the prices are much higher than in Japan, so I tear up when paying the bill, but it's the same no matter where you go, so if it's the same, I recommend this place.

Food is okay, service is good. Waiter refills tea very often. Only negative comment is on the menu there is "minimum $20/person spending". I feel the owner is too mean to print this on the menu. Customer will buy over the minimum provided the price of the food.
