I did my research around the area ahead and locked this sushi restaurant as it has good options and prices. After visiting the fisherman wharf and the Cannery, we came here for lunch. The Chirashi Don was nicely packed with dishes. Chicken teriyaki has great portion. I ordered the Mega Sashimi which was nicely presented and good quality fish. I may got more fish for the same price with two Sashimi bento, but those would be more average fish. Very fresh food, very friendly staff.

We love Japanese food and we have tried many Japanese restaurants in Vancouver, Richmond, Japan, Hong Kong ,China & Europe. In comparison, Mega Sushi falls short on our expectations in terms of quality. We have selected this restaurant based on a 4 stars rating, but we are quite disappointed! I hope the owner could make improvements; I do not want to give any negative in full details. I will visit this restaurant again next year!

While the food was delicious my experience with Uber Eats and the restaurant was not ideal. I made my order on Uber eats with a note regarding an allergy. The restaurant called me once they received my order. They couldn’t accommodate the request and told me to cancel the order, and re-submit. I did and our second order was delicious and delivered. Uber eats has charged me fully for the first cancelled order. After speaking to them they say I’m out of luck. The restaurant also tell me they can do nothing about payment issues. I am out $77 for sushi I didn’t receive. And the whole ordeal has taken up a lot of my time. I will not use either of these merchants again. Do not recommend.

I moved to Steveston area recently and hoping to find my new fave Japanese restaurant. Mega sushi is the first place I've tried here. I would definitely go back. I walked in and ordered take out beef teriyaki lunch special. I enjoyed every single thing! Someone here commented that you can't mess up tempura. You absolutely can, but the tempura here was crispy and well done. Nice assortment and dipping sauce. Great salad and dressing. Teriyaki beef and miso soup were tasty. Sunomono was good quality. California rolls were fresh. Everything was packaged separately. Maybe that's a helping factor in everything tasting delicious. It's a lot of plastic containers so I'm going to wash and reuse everything before recycling it. I've only started my quest for my new go-to Japanese restaurant here but I i have a feeling I may have already found it!

A special shout-out to Rose, our waitress, who made the evening extra special with her warm and attentive service. Also, cheers to the great draft beer selection — it was the perfect pairing. Mega has been around for awhile. Back when special rolls were growing in popularity, Mega has been doing it since it first opened. These days the food is a bit more on the average side. Some of their rolls have too much sauce which make it less enjoyable. Service can be much more attentive given the number of people working and that it wasn't full. Menus are half falling apart. Give the place some love and it can shine again as a solid choice.
