Missing Chopsticks is definitely a hidden gem, especially since it’s located in a business park. Inside is an intimate space with a large open kitchen. Watching the chefs cook the food with evident care was a fun touch. There’s only a couple tables on the ground floor, so you can really focus on the food and the people you’re with. The decor is modern - lots of black with white marble and gold notes. The lights look like chopsticks, which is a charming touch. The food was incredible. The kanpachi tartlet was one of the highlights for me. I’ve never had kanpachi but it paired beautifully with the shiso and pearl-shaped cucumber. The scallops were light and bright. The pate was the best I’ve had, and I like pate so I’ve tried a lot of it. The pasta with the sea cucumber is unique and well balanced with the tomato paste. The Char Siu steak and truffle potatoes are gorgeous. It’s been a while since I’ve had real truffles and I love how simply they were served. Pairing Char Siu flavours with beef is inspired. The chocolate mousse and tangerine was the perfect “not too sweet” dessert.Service is very attentive without being overbearing. The owner is also very friendly and clearly genuinely cares about patrons having a great meal. One thing to note is that the portions aren’t tasting sized. The first two courses were, the rest are appetizer sized except for the main, which is entree sized. Next time, I’ll book the 5:30 time slot and skip lunch so I can thoroughly enjoy each course without worrying about being too full.I’m also excited to try the late night menu at some point.

It was an intimate dinner where we had the dishes explained to us very thoroughly. The food was also phenomenal! One of the best pâté we ever had. Would definitely recommend coming back for another special occasion!

The quality and presentation of the food was fantastic. Service was also perfect. The location and front of the restaurant does not tell the full story, the fixed menu delivers wonderul taste and quality of the food to compete with a Michelin star restaurant. We will be returning and look forward to the next menu.

First time dining here and at was a world class experience all the way! Staff were attentive, and polite without being overpowering like some trendy restaurants can be.Food and portion size were awesome from the first bite to the last dessert spoonful.I highly recommend.

I took my husband to Missing Chopsticks for his birthday in November. We wanted to try something new. Everything was delicious, elevated without being contrived. The squab was so expertly cooked (the best I've ever had) - skin crisp, and with the perfect shade of red inside. The fresh pasta with cream sauce was portioned well, and the texture was just right. Restaurant food often seems to be packed with copious amounts of salt and fat, so I admire the chef's confidence in presenting several dishes that had a delicate but still flavourful taste - like the quinoa and vegetables dish. The meal wasn't inexpensive, but the juice was worth the squeeze. The dishes may look small, but add it all together and we (me and my 6'3" husband) left satiated. I wish I had photos but I ate everything.

Everything was amazing. The only thing was they didn’t have any whiskey in stock when we were there.

A unique experience in an intimate location! Missing Chopsticks is definitely a place to visit, if you can figure out how to get here ?. The location is a bit odd, as the restaurant is situated in the middle of a business park in Richmond, but it is worth the trip.My friends and I were able to experience a delicious and carefully-prepared 6 course meal with French and Pan-Asian influences. The menu appears to change every so often, so you're bound to find something new whenever you go! We were seated near the kitchen so we were able to observe the preparation and plating, which was very interesting!Service was excellent. The server was respectful and knowledgeable, and dishes were beautifully presented and were made quickly.I do wish their drinks selection was more varied, as the menu mostly contained wines.Overall, a great experience and I hope this restaurant becomes more well-known! It sure has a lot of potential despite being fairly new.

This is a restaurant with good food, service, and vibe. I am especially impressed with the appetizer with the scallop and potatoes drenched in lemon sauce. It had a good balance and savory taste to them. The main course steak was good, but the dessert was my favorite: Chocolate mouse. The creamy but not overpowering chocolate flavor of the mouse was balanced in texture and taste of the sesame chips. I rarely wanted seconds of the same dessert, but I wanted to with this one.Overall a superb dining experience celebrating birthday dinner

First time here for my birthday dinner. We tried the DOV menu. Wonderful plating and taste for all the dishes, impeccable service. We loved the steak and the chocolate mousse dessert. Would definitely come back again to try out their seasonal menus! One of my top choices for fine dining in Richmond.

Modern interior suits the location and the theme of nouveau fusion of Chinese and French cooking. A nice addition to the Richmond dining landscape but a bit pricey. I enjoyed the Hokkaido scallop and the prawn toast. I was told that the menu will change on a regular basis.
