Hubby saw a series in Mikey Chan’s Strictly Dumplings on Youtube. So we checked it out, located in Presidential Plaza 2nd Floor food court. The food court is small, we ordered takeout. Line was long but it moves pretty fast. Their pork hock was their specialty and they had freshly prepackaged to go meal in a container. It was that fast & efficient.
The pork hock was tender & very flavourful, for $15, it was a steal. It came with rice drenched in that wonderful dark piggy sauce, a braised egg, sautéed potatoes strips & glass noodles & pickled marinated green long beans. The pickled green long beans paired very nicely with the dish. The portion was so big that it was a 2 meal deal for us. Highly recommend… !
You won’t be disappointed!
Pork knuckle rice. Flavorful, very well priced ($15), super filling! The picked green beans add the perfect sour contrast to the indulgent fatty pork knuckle! Sign me up!
Authentic Wuhan noodle
The pork hock rice and hot & dry noodles are quite good value for money and taste great. Unfortunately, the food court in President Plaza is really too small with too few seats.
Pork hock rice is great value.
Great tasting and huge portion for the price. Food court is pretty tight for seating.
My go to place for rice noodle! Very nice owner and staffz
My absolute favorites from their menu are the Wuhan Hot Dry Noodles and the Braised Pork Knuckle Rice. The Wuhan Hot Dry Noodles have a rich, sesame-flavored sauce that coats each strand perfectly, creating a wonderfully balanced and comforting dish. The Braised Pork Knuckle Rice is also a standout, with the pork knuckle cooked until it's tender and falls apart easily, while the seasoning enhances its flavor beautifully. Both dishes are incredibly satisfying and worth recommending. However, I feel that the experience would be even better if the prices were slightly more affordable, making it easier to enjoy these delicious meals more frequently.
It’s not in vain to come here from Burnaby to eat the pig’s knuckle rice that I’ve been craving for. Such a large portion is definitely worth the price of $15. Anyway, it’s enough for the two of us girls. It tastes great?
Repeat customer for over a year, but noticed their portions has significantly reduced. At one point, their pork hock rice could feed two people for dinner. Just returned today and was disappointed at the smaller volume.
Still delicious, but wasn’t as good value as it once was.
