Their chicken is delicious
For take out, instead of giving me a takeout bag they gave me a cardboard box. I basically paid an extra 0.75 cents to take out their garbage for them.
The male staff totally knows how to earn money wisely. Congrats.
Ordered the "Night Market style Squid". Portion size was tiny and the taste was not the best. They charge extra for making it to-go so better to bring your own container.

Its rice is harder than its spoon. I should read the comments here before ordering. The staff is so stingy. I asked for a fork for my son and he took my chopsticks back.

I ordered big chicken drumstick rice. When it came, I found that my chicken drumstick was drizzled with braised meat sauce. Overall, it was not delicious. Maybe it's just not to my liking.

We have been coming to Old Street Express for a while for the beef brisket noodle soup. We actually crave for it especially when it's cold out or raining. The portion is good, flat noodles are chewy, and the soup broth is tasty- not at all tasteless like other reviews mention. The drink that comes with it is just bonus (and there are few options). Best value and very decent quality for Taiwanese food in the lower mainland?

The pig's trotter rice was quite satisfactory and tasted okay, no surprises. The drinks are delicious.

Pork feet noodle soup is just normal, not soft enough and the broth is just okay, nothing special

I had beef brisket rice, fried shredded squid,
Let’s talk about the beef brisket rice first. The rice is not cooked well, and the brisket is the same as eating rubber bands.
The tableware is quite funny. You know, this is the first time for me as a big boy to eat milk tea soup. When you are hungry and want to eat some rice, you look at the spoon and the soup, and you can only wonder why you didn't bring tableware?
The fried squid is not spicy at all, even the BB can eat it. It is very skillful to fry until the batter is separated from the squid.

Tried this place out for the first time and it didn’t disappoint! Got #1 and #11. Both came with a free drink and we were stuffed after. 10/10, will be back!!!

Taiwanese food is one of my favourites. A friend suggests 'Old Street Express'.There was a long line, a hint they sell good stuff. I tried the 'Chicken Nuggets Noodle Soup' includes honey green tea for $13.50. I request for the popcorn chicken to be in a separate container so I can enjoy the flavorful soup and the crunchy chicken. Food quality is beyond the price. It was delicious and comes in a big serving. This is an economical well well-spent lunch. I will be back and recommend this place.
