A corner shop located in an upstairs food court serving up Tianjin breakfast, baozi, and noodle dishes. It’s been here many years and the food has changed abit also but I always enjoy it. Made fresh and hot to order, quick and easy. Prices have also crept up with inflation.
I just happened to pop by o trays after waiting for the cha keep place next door. This crispy thin (like a Chinese crepe) bun is really really good. There’s a nice crunch to it. It’s made fresh right in front of your eyes and the sauces they use has a nice blend of delicious Chinese spices.
My all time favorite Tianjin breakfast place. As a Tianjin native, this is the most home-like taste I’ve ever had in North America in 20 years. For those who don’t like it, I don’t blame them cuz I’m fully aware it’s not for everybody, but you can’t deny its authenticity. It tastes almost exactly like those breakfast stands right downstairs from my home in Tianjin. The only thing I’m rooting for an improvement is to offer 果子/油条 in jianbubgguozi in addition...
