Wow the ratings are really low here. Perhaps I could help out.
1. They don’t speak much English here. Cantonese or Mandarin can really help the situation better if there’s conflict. I told a few of my western friends to screen shot a couple of Cantonese words to interact with haggling during the clearance of food.
2. The biggest bang for buck is coming to these type of stalls around the 7:15pm and upwards cause they close at 8:30pm. You can literally sit at the tables or stand waiting and see them change their prices every 10 to 15 minutes. You’ll see items like “3 dishes for $23, must be 2 meats and 1 vegetable.” The prices continue to lower and the dishes increase. It all depends what they have daily, excessive amounts left over or limited amounts. At this point getting closer to closing, you can even flirt and haggle with some of the ladies haha. Don’t believe me? I’ve once gotten 7 dishes for $20. My work colleagues always wonder why I spend so much and treat them 🤣.
I always have rice and noodles at home to go with my dishes. But if your looking to add and buy fried rice and noodles KEEP HAGGLING because your buying more. Keep talking with cash in your hands! 🙌
3. You gotta learn to be confident and speak up, be loud and smile, and talk with your hands with cash in it! If they are underscooping let them know, SMILING and loud! If you even got little kids let he workers be aware that your letting the kids choose. Guilt trip them and believe me, no one likes to cheat a child 🤣
Don’t have a child don’t worry. Stay on the phone and pretend you’re buying for your Grandparents. If they hear your conversation loud enough they have a soft heart for seniors. I’m dead serious. It’s a psychological strategy at times 🤣
4. Sometimes there are pre scooped items in the window ready for clearance. It may look and appear like big portions but look deeper into that container. Sometimes they mix other things into it on the bottom.
This is where you use your street smarts. Calculate your supply and demand knowledge and what satisfies you. Speak up and don’t be afraid to ask them to knock off a dollar or 2 because of that. Because you can easily go next door.
5. Finally bring cash only and your own bags. They charge for bags, however sometimes they give you those clear plastic bags, it all depends, no guarantees.
Don’t forget to ask for chopsticks and utensils and napkins.
You have to keep in mind that your not going in thinking your gonna get what you desire at times. It depends on what’s left for clearance. That person next to you can easily bombard and say you’re taking too long I’ll buy whatever is packed.
Good luck

Gave me the pre-filled containers. I should have been smarter.
4 pieces of chicken out of the dozen potatoes and carrots chunks in the dish.
Typical dishonest Asians. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.
If I can give it 0 stars, I would.
Food is affordable and they give big portions. The meal also comes with free a soup and tea. The taste was okay. The server was friendly. They only accept cash payment.
Very dishonest. Ordered 3 containers (streamed clicked, pig stomach with pickled vegetables and honey garlic spareribs) towards the end of day for $28 (was $25 added $3 for third container to be protein). Gave me the pre-fill containers of food. Looks full to the rim. Good deal right? When i got home and changed containers, discovered that the chicken dish and pig stomach filled with 6-7 pieces of large white carrots/radish. The pig stomach only full half container and there’s were only 6 pieces of chicken. Extremely dishonest. First time try and will be last time. Usually go to the shop next door. They are honest.
After watching YouTubers promoting the Yaohan food court, the Missus and I stopped by for lunch at the Pak Tak Chiu Chow food outlet. We have to say the quality of the food we ordered was very subpar, lacking taste and flavour. The beef brisket was very fatty and contained more tendons than meat. The spicy pork chop was not hot and was too thick for any seasoning to penetrate the meat. The Missus did not enjoy her pork feet and eggplant either. The food for both dishes was served lukewarm. We will definitely give it a miss on our next visit to Yaohan.
Will never order from this place anymore !!! While i was siting down and eating , saw one of the worker was picking her nose and kneading it between her fingers then went straight to serve a customer without washing her hands!! So disgusting !!
Came here around 7pm. For $16.99, I got:
- very small portions compared to other two/three-dish meals.
- small cup of hot water instead of a bowl of soup (because they sold out)
- overly oily and salty broccoli
I would NOT recommend this place to others. The staff was also rude to another customer when she asked for an additional pair of spoon and chopsticks.

Never again. Foods are over cooked and staff gave us the pre-packed dishes instead of the fresh one.

Waited more than 20 mins for two bowls of noodle soup???? And it wasn’t even busy???? Don’t bother go to Golden Bowl instead.

We ordered the Half Marinated Duck and we asked them to cut it for us. They put extra sauce on the duck and it leaked from the take out container into the plastic bag. It created a mess for us. We did not ask for extra sauce and they should ask customers if they want extra sauce.
Also, the duck was hairy; it was gross. Moreover, the duck was mostly bones and it was difficult to eat. This would be the problem of how they cut the duck. The duck from other places was cut normally which was easy for people to eat. The fact that they cut many thin slices and put them on top of the duck pieces (which were mostly bones with pieces of skin separated from the meat) was suspicious - why didn't they cut the duck normally? Unless there was no meat from the duck or they took out some meaty pieces from the duck. We were disappointed because they were known for the Marinated Duck.
Terrible food, don’t weste you money
It's deliciousIt’s just that the taste seems difficult to control(It’s good and bad sometimes, I don’t know if the cooking master is different?

Tastes good. I ordered minced meat and oyster porridge and waited for a while. It should be freshly made. The meat is delicious, but the porridge is made like Shanghai's vegetable pickled rice, not rice porridge. The pork belly is also good
I went for lunch at this restaurant. It's my first time trying their food, which is honestly okay. I ordered the 3-meal combo, and I received white steamed rice and two meat dishes with tofu. The two meat dishes I had chosen had way too much fat, so I had to remove it from each bite. The tofu was good but a bit cold; however, the radish from one of the dishes is a great palate cleanser.
