Convenient food, the sauce is good but there isn’t much beef. And I don’t why the server just gave me a heat resistant tray to eat, it’s weird.
I didn’t come to pepper lunch for years. Today I want to try it again. Very disappointed! The quality and quantity are both bad. I ordered wagyu beef. Only few pieces on the plate and they are not wagyu beef at all, dry and taste weird. We also ordered extra veggies. Only small bowl of bean sprouts and very few carrots. Won’t come again!
Tastes good but a bit over priced.
After we placed our order, we waited 25 minutes for food to come.
I really enjoy eating here- the food is consistently good and the flavors are great. That said, it’s definitely on the pricey side for what you get. Portions are pretty small, and the prices seem to go up every time I visit.
Still a nice spot, but hard to justify as a regular choice.
Just had a great lunch at Pepper Lunch in Richmond and I’m already looking forward to my next visit! I ordered the spicy pork combo and it was delicious—flavorful, tender, and had just the right kick of heat. The sizzling plate kept everything hot and fresh till the last bite, and it was super satisfying mixing the meat, veggies, and rice together. The portion was generous and definitely worth the price. The staff were friendly and the service was quick, even during the lunch rush. It’s a fun and tasty experience every time. Highly recommend if you’re craving something hearty and full of flavor!
Went here just to try… don’t come food is bland, expensive, poor quality, small portions. There are so many better options out there in Richmond… 0 flavours…. $17 for basically plain pasta and beef…
Extra lunch wasn't even extra large, we got one regular and one extra large and the regular is bigger than the extra large

Pepper lunch is a well know brand from Japan, I used to have once in Taipei. The meal comes really fast, and for non spicy foodie like me, maybe can ask for less pepper if it’s possible?

I feel like for what you pay, it’s not worth it. Wagyu pepper rice and chicken katsu rice without sides or drinks was $55 (including tip)
Not a lot of meat for the wagyu.
Chicken curry katsu was worth it.

Portions was very small. Filled it with rice
Would not order or eat there again. Lady on the phone very rude.
One of my few bad reviews :(
Super overpriced for what you're getting. I ordered the large pork pepper rice and added extra chicken. I'm a 160lb guy and the portion size was tiiiiny even for me, like a $15 plate size, but I paid $20 pretax and tip. And there's really no excuse for it because the meal is very simple, it's unseasoned meat, rice, corn, and pepper. The meat is also undercooked because it cooks in the plate itself, so the prep is minimal.
