Got a small bowl of house special pho and 2 spring rolls. End up paying $30

I feel like taste could have been better for the price. Richmond has a lot of Pho options out there and this one just doesn’t stand out.

Great vietnamese ice coffee! Super strong and really good ! Haven't eaten here before but always grab a viet coffee while buying a vape next door. Takes about 7 mins to wait for ice coffee (espresso drip into condensed milk etc) highly reccomend. Super friendly

This is just my own opinion and please don’t let mine discourage you.
There are competitive places to eat Vietnamese cuisine and each one of them has their own specialties or flare.
The prices here at japolo are industry standard.

I got number 20 large. The crab is imitation crab and I thought it was the crab patty. The broth is good but not exceptional. My friend got number 21, the bun bo hue and it was good but not disappointing. We have both dined at many Vietnamese restaurants. It wasn’t what we expected but hey, it’s still tasty.

Service is a downer with the lady. She was very grumpy but when we paid she finally cracked a smile. It may have been an off day, come on, we’ve all had our off days, right?

I think this place survives with all the autobody and car shops around, perhaps even with the other workers along Bridgeport. Maybe even with the residents along no. 5 road and river road. I still think it’s great to have this place in the North Richmond neighborhood. But if you’re looking for a type of specialty, this wouldn’t be the place to explore. It’s a place that caters to the locals in that area.
It’s still a great option over junk food.

Too bad there isn’t a decimal rating. I would at least consider a 3.5 rating.

We have been coming to the Pho Japolo for at least 7 years. It is a nicely run family type restaurant. Good Pho base, meat is good quality compared to other pho places we tried. It's out staple comfort food place 👍🏻

Vegetarian options: Yes, they have plain noodles in soup.

Everything is good but very bad luck for empty cash registers… no cash available all the time…always put enough cashes in the register for bring lucks ……

The place is dirty. I ate there once many years ago and had stomach pain and diarrhea after. Give it a try again this year and have same problem. Never go there again. Server/owner is rude too.

Wow, another gem for a good value dining in Richmond. I love searching for good quality fresh healthy foods around and this is one place where you can find some options. I had lemon grass chicken here and it’s delicious!

Just want to share the very sad and bad experience today. This morning my little daughter want to borrow the washroom, one cleaner let us use it. But when we were in the washroom, others cleaner knocked the washroom door for twice. When we put, the lady shouted to us, keep saying “that was suck. That was suck!”

It’s so sad and bad to have this experience.

What a great restaurant for our lunch... it was busy, the service was excellent, and the ladies are lovely. Parking is a bit tight, but after the lunch rush, it's not too bad.
The restaurant is wheelchair accessible, and there is handicap parking, but it gets taken up quick when it's busy.
Definitely a good find
We both had Vietnamese subs, and deep fried spring rolls. Hit & tasty
